wow! Thats a great price!! What service did you ship with? I only have access to usps without traveling 20+ miles. A 25 pound box from here with run me almost $20 and thats parcel post.

We leave 2 weeks from tomorrow! We don't actually check in until Monday the 26th but we are going to take two days to drive down from Ohio. We will be in a royal room waterview. Maybe we'll run into each other!

we did online check in last year staying at FW cabins, online check in was the best! there is an online check in window to go to and all of your things are ready for you. i think i stood in line all of 10 minutes. we got there before check in so the cabin wasnt ready but within an hour they I got a text that it was ready. its just so much easier no standing in line, in and out !!

Online check-in allows you to place a credit card on file (if you wish) and indicate a time of arrival. They will most likely have your room available. You pick up your packet and go.

If you have requests, it is best to wait to check-in, because IMHO, because the CM will give you the first available room in the general area you have been assigned and you may/may not like the location. Then they have to find another room and reprint your cards, thus eliminating the ease of waltzing in and out with your packet.

If you have requests and really want them, I would wait.

I am so jealous. I would give my right arm to be there today and see the CM's faces when they do the big reveal. I don't even need to see the room; their faces and reaction would be enough for me.

I just love the staff at POR; I am guessing this will be a big boost for them and they won't be able to contain themselves until they can share it with their guests.....

Thieir Dr visits went pretty well this week. Found out my DD4 is still having apnea episodes (which I figured), they also said she has restless leg syndrome. And her heart still dropped very low while asleep. She is still wearing a heart monitor and will be for atleast a month then we hope to have a better idea what is going on with her and this extra beat too. Her iron level is very low as was vitamin D and K. He wants her to gain more weight and add more foods in her diet rich in those.

My DS14 was diagnosed with migranes and has started medication and for his blacking out. They ran some heart tests and those look ok. We are to try the new medication for 2 weeks and go from there.

So, we will be back to Childrens hospital soon, but for now...its all behind us and off to WDW!

Agreed 100%, I'd love to be there today too, I bet it will be a great atmosphere this afternoon - and right now I'm sure mousekeeping staff will be putting the final finishing touches to the rooms. Then all that needs to be done is to symbolically pass the "deeds" for this newly refurbished building over to housekeeping team, and the new Royal Guest Rooms will be open.

I too have got nothing but praise for just about every person I've had dealings with at Port Orleans - from our Magnolia Bend mousekeeper (who had been at POR since the first day it opened as Dixie Landings) right up to the very top. A really nice group of people who all seem to have their guests' interests at heart. That also seems to be borne out by the vast majority of postings I read here too.

Two weeks today and we check in!!!! Alot of us there at the same time!!!!!!
Hope to run into some of you while I'm there! I'll be the one with my Nikon camera stuck to my face taking a million photos!!!! Actually last trip was 8000, not a million!

Not sure thi will help you or not but a lot off office stores ( office depot, Staples) offer UPs or fedex shipping services and I personally find these easier to use than post office or ups store..

I was lucky enough on my trip in 2010 to catch up with two people I had followed on the thread. One was a couple on their "Disneymoon" and the other was a family who was there for the first time. I got to help them out a lot so it really made my trip.
