Yikes! I've been watching availability for our time frame of travel and rooms for a party of 5 have been there. Now they are gone, so POR must be sold out for the room type while we are there. Panic is setting it for a refurbished room!

NOOOOOOO:scared1: I'm done stressing out about it. We requested queen beds however since there's just the 3 of us we will make it work if we end up with doubles...hubster and I will take turns sleeping with princess.

I didnt want to start a new thread, and since I am now a part of the POR family, I figured I'd ask you all!!!!

We will be celebrating our 5 year wedding anniversary in Disney.

We are going mid-end of september, and our anniversary is in early october. I wanted to know how we could make sure thats noted on our reservation? Should I call and tell them? Or is there a way to do it online? If so, I havent found it.

Thanks a million !!! :thumbsup2

If you booked directly with Disney, just call the Disney Reservation Centre again and get them to add the information to your booking. You can add some celebrations via the online system, but to be honest I'd still call and make sure it's done anyway.

Will you calm down and stop panicking! :) There are two thousand or so rooms at POR, nearly half with queen beds so far - and most people don't make any requests at all - so I'm sure you'll be fine. Just send them a nice fax 3-5 days before you arrive to confirm the situation and to explain that you'll overlap a double bed!

And if you make any dining reservations, you can note it on your reservations online or with a CM. :)

You didn't note what level of booking category you have. For instance, if it is not a RR, that means Parterre Place and Oak Manor are not available to you.

If you booked preferred, you are definately in AB.

If you booked garden view, standard view or water view you could end up in either.

Sorry. We are booked for Garden View rooms.

Fantastic will do! Thanks so much! Can't wait to be there

Andre - I also kinda thought that distinguishing between waterview and riverview now, that opened up some larger possibilities. I would think that a long, far away view of the river would be considered waterview now. So that could encompass more rooms.

The distinguishing factor I see between AB and the mansions having more waterview rooms, is in the mansions, you don't just have the pools, but the fountains as well.

River View has been explained to me as: if you stand in your room doorway and you can see the river - even if it might be across one of the courtyards/lawns in a mansion building - then that counts as 'River View'.

However with the recent re-categorisations, 'Water View' now means real water, no longer fountains or puddles. :) So basically it guarantees a swimming pool view, or if someone gets lucky maybe even an upgrade to a river view. There are a few (8) Water View rooms in building 18 by the way (as King Bed, River View and Water View categories all override the Preferred Location status of the closer buildings).

Oh, and over at POFQ, Water View (which is only in buildings 2 or 5 anyway) does NOT include any of the ground floor rooms, as they don't really get much of a view of the pool because of the fences/hedges/etc. So don't book POFQ Water View and then request a ground floor room.

Just finally booked our July 2012 honeymoon in a royal room river view !! We will be staying for 2 weeks. What building should I ask for?? We definitely want top floor. We're going to call and tell them it's our honeymoon and requests lol any help much appreciated never been here!!!

We booked River View Royal Rooms for our stay in December. My dad will be with us and he'll have a scooter. There weren't any HA rooms available so I requested shower chair for their room. Will there be enough space in a standard room for the scooter? He can't do stairs or walk long distances, so leaving it in the car is out of the question.

We tossed the going back in December for Xmas around but I don't know. If we did we would do the RGR river view that time.

Can you request a certain building at the time of booking?

Any recommendations for a great garden view location?

Thanks!

I've always had cm note in on my ressie during one of my calls to pay money on rm, for rest adr you can add it to ressie when booking online but i also tend to remind when checking in for adr. And ask for annv buttons at hotel desk or guest relations in any park.

Hi

Is there anyone that can tell us how to book a Royal room from the UK? Have checked WDTC and CompleteOrlando and all that comes up is a water view room. Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks

Jon

Have you went to the Disneyworld Parks Web Page: http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/

If you have it may be they are sold out of them at the moment. These were a big thing here.

Congratulations :rainbow: ... it is so exciting you will be spending your honeymoon at the Happiest Place on Earth ... last time we were at WDW was a decade ago when we spent two weeks at what was then Dixie Landings Resort ... it was an absolute blast and I am sure the both of you will have a really romantic time. Don't be afraid to let everyone know you are on your honeymoon while you're there !!! :jumping1:

We also booked a Royal Room River View in Sept before our B2B cruises on the Fantasy as we are celebrating our 20th Anniv  and my birthday!!! Isn't celebrations at Disney just grand :goodvibes

Personally, even as a fellow Brit, I rarely use the UK Disneyworld site as it's so limited. Just go to the proper www.disneyworld.com (you may need to re-select USA: English in the 'International' tab at the bottom of the page as it'll try to chuck you back to the UK site) and you should see all room types listed. The downside is you don't get the UK-linked ticket/dining plan/etc offers, which can sometimes be quite cost-effective.
