I'm thinking about booking this resort and I was wondering what location is closer to the main building or bus stop? We stayed at the All star Movies last time and was all the way in the back of the resort and that was a long walk with two kids at the end of the day.

The map in Post #1 of this thread shows the building numbers and all four bus stops ("Depots") at POR. Hope that helps!

I know the discussion has switched to the Royal Room upgrades, but can anyone tell me where the gazebo in the mansion section is located?

I believe it is the one in front of the Arcadian House near the water.

Buildings 14, 36, 27 & 38 are completed. We are booked at POR for June and I am requesting a refurbished room.

The closest are the Alligator Bayou 'Preferred location' buildings (14, 15, 18 and 27) followed by buildings 16 and 17, then the Acadian House and Magnolia Terrace mansion buildings.

Next to the riverside pathway by Magnolia Terrace.

Can anyone tell me where I can find a schedule of the reburbed rooms in Alligator Bayou for September 2012?

Unless there are any further delays, the whole resort should be completed by the start of August.

So far, Alligator Bayou buildings 14, 36, 37, 38 have been refurbished - all of which have the option to sleep 5. No more AB rooms are scheduled before March, but not sure whether the delays to the Royal Rooms might bring any other parts of the schedule forward?

Which out those would you recommend? We'll be staying there for the first time in March. Thanks!

If you are a family of four or less and like the mansions then just request a mansion room at Acadian House or Magnolia Terrace by calling Disney. If you are a family of five or would like to stay in AB then call Disney and request one of the buildings that Andre posted a posts back. Keep in mind that building 14 is preferred and will cost more and/or is all booked up already.

If you booked via a travel agent then I'm quite sure your request would have to be made by your travel agent sorry.

I'm still waiting too. I know we'll be one of the last to hear anything since we aren't supposed to check in until March 8th, but I'm still jumping every time the phone rings.

Congrats, to all that got pixie dust. I love POR but WOW! Some serious pixie dust! Any chance they won't be ready in August this makes me think I should book for the Animator resort with the hopes that they don't finish in time

I haven't gotten my call yet either. We paid off our balance today, hoping that would be the push for a call. We check in on March 4th, but I'm hoping we don't have to wait for that actual 45 day mark before hearing anything. We'll just keep waiting, but I'm on pins & needles waiting!

Just got my call 5 minutes ago! (my 1 night at POR was for Feb. 24th)

I acted all surprised . As far as which resorts they are offering she just said "We would like to relocate you to The Polynesian." I then said "I know this sounds crazy, but is there any chance you have a room at the CR?". We are split staying there and thought that would be convenient.

She said CR is one of the only deluxes she could not transfer me to. So I asked if she had Beach Club, and was told no problem! We have stayed at the Poly a couple years ago and it is amazing but we wanted to try a deluxe we have never stayed at before.

So my 8 day trip looks like this now: 1 night at Beach Club, 4 nights at 2 bedroom villa BLT and then 3 nights 2 bedroom villa Animal Kingdom! All 3 deluxe resorts we have never stayed at!!!!

Thanks everyone for the heads up! I already pre-booked my dinner at Il Mulino earlier today in hopes I could get Beach Club!! Here's hoping you all get your call soon!

I don't the paying the balance matters since we paid ours off on Monday. I think they are going in order of earliest reservations. Us March checkin people have not heard yet but I would think we would hear well before the 45 day out period.
