We're booked for a RGR on March 26th. Hearing about everyone's upgrades has almost got me hoping they get behind schedule by another 2 weeks! We've never stayed deluxe so it would be a wish come true! I know though--be careful what you wish for!

I received my call for the change this evening. My wife and I are excited that we will be staying at the Poly. Under normal circumstances we can't justify paying that much for the deluxe resorts. My kids don't know we are going yet so there is no disappointment there.

Now we can stay on a Monorail resort and it won't cost us any extra money. We are looking at it this way. The next time we go we can stay in a Royal Room. But for a tip we are getting a chance to stay at one of the original MK resorts.

Can I ask when your trip dates are? Just curious how far down the list they have gotten. We haven't gotten any calls yet and it's killing me. I even tried to call reservations, since I booked with Disney directly, and they didn't even know what a royal room was, so no help there.

Glad to hear you got your call also. We said the same thing about next trip staying at the POR RGR rooms.

You lucky DOGS! We are booked in RGR May 1. I'm really envious about the upgrades...I would LOVE that, but I guess our RGR will be even newer and fresher when we get there!

Hello everyone, ive subscribed to thread and read through everything, congrats to everyone getting the upgrades. Im so sorry if anyone is disappointed..what a great oppurtunity to be in a deluxe for the price of a mod though. Let us know how it goes. We will be in the world sept 20-sept 30th in a royal room! Just incase a CM from POR or one of the Deluxe resorts are reading this you are more then welcome to upgrade my DD and myself for free on our trip. I think we would be able to handle the disappointment

Wow! Just got thru reading about the push back. We check into a Royal Room on March 10th so I guess we will be one of the first to stay in the rooms! Thats exciting although an upgrade to the Poly would be a dream come true for my daughter.

I say tomorrow get the ball rolling tell your aaa what you have learned get them to look into this. I stirred up the hornets nest this morning and got it done. I will have the same time frame you are there but just from the 24th to 3rd. So maybe all us POR refugees can meet up. Lol

Seems as if it's 50/50 with different time frames receiving their phone calls within the past day...I'm planning on making the final payment tomorrow (technically, our 45 days isn't for another 2 weeks), hopefully that will be the catalyst to get our phone call.

Well I had a RGR river view room, so I got Tuvalu building at the poly 3rd floor theme park view. I didn't get an option because. Knew I wanted to stay at the poly.

We made ours today that might have influenced it.

Yes, I believe some do. But the number of King Rooms is fairly limited, so it might not always be possible to get one that connects.
