Andre answered this a number of pages back (page 21 in fact).

I can! :) For all the menus at the Riverside Mill, check out http://www.portorleans.org/riversidemill.php.

Here's what's in the soda fountains though:

So yes, you can get Lemonde (still) and Sprite (fizzy), plus lots of other drinks.

I noticed that they have Hi-C. Do they have any juices available? I know at the Poly they used to have minute maid Apple juice. We are getting the dining plan and neither of my girls drink soda. Additionally DD#1 is allergic to oranges - I think Hi-C is orange flavored isn't that right? Are there any non soda choices?

Thanks Stan and Andre! That is exactly what I was looking for. I had scrolled through many pages before I got lazy and thought I would just ask.

My DS9 would be in 7th heaven if they started carrying Dr Pepper. He'll be pretty happy with the cherry coke. We can't get it in Canada and always end up bringing a case back across the border.

was the bus service bad, crowded or standing room only?

this will be my 4th stay at POR and the buses are not bad at all unless you are going to the park at peak times or leaving at peak times. At those times quite frankly all the buses seam to be packed.

I've been reading this thread obsessively for the past week and I've visited Andre's site (it's fantastic, thank you!) but I've never seen an answer to this question...is there any storage space under the beds? We are traveling on 1/29 and will be in AB because we are a family of five. Hopefully we will get a refurbished room with the queen beds.
Are those beds solid underneath or is there a little storage room? We are renting a huge double stroller for the trip so I'd love to be able to stash it under the bed when we aren't using it.

One more question...since we are traveling at a slow time of the year and we're arriving at about 1:00pm, do you think we have a good chance of being granted a refurbished room? The castmember I reserved with promised me this but I know now that she can't really do that. With to giant 5 year olds and a pretty big 2 year old, those queen beds will come in really handy!

Well I called to make the changes (email and tried to add ME) and asked that the requests now say Oak Manor and please closest to the Lobby/food well they changed it and it now says "Oak Manor - NOT GUARANTEED". So they took at the closest to the lobby part and added in bold letters not guaranteed. Is this something new? My old request didn't have in caps bold not guaranteed on it.

Also I asked on transportation but no one has responded - I originally requested ME when I made the ressie last week. They didn't put it on the ressie (says no transportation requested). I asked for it to be added and said I would let them know when I had my airfare information. They said that they never add ME to reservations until airfare is confirmed. Is this new? I swore on our last 2 trips we added it - but it said that we had to contact them to give our flight information when we had it (I know that on the computer ressies you have the option to add it and check you will contact with airline information at a later date.

Sorry, no juices in the dispensers (apart from Minute Maid lemonade). The Hi-C is fruit punch, which is a rather overpoweringly cherry favoured concoction. I say flavoured, as I strongly suspect neither the orange nor the fruit punch favours have been anywhere near real fruits in their lives. :) You'd need to check with regard to allergies of course.

You can get juices from the grab'n'go fridges though (including a rather tasty peachy drink called Fuze which I hadn't come across before) but of course you have to pay for those separately.

There was storage space under the old AB beds (there needed to be a gap there anyway for the trubdle beds) but not in the refurbished rooms. To be honest, I suspect it was a housekeeping nightmare trying to keep those under-bed areas clean (as were the large armoires).

If you're arriving early enough, you probably stand a fairly good chance of getting a refurbed AB room as only those guests 'in the know' are requesting them yet. You may not be able to get one immediately though, so be patient and let them know you're happy to come back later, rather just be given an older room there-and-then.

Unfortunately Hi C fruit punch is orange and pineapple so she is allergic to it. Guess we will have to buy her a lot of juice with garden grocer - just sad that we will get the mug and she won't be able to use it. I can't believe that they have no alternatives for younger children - I don't know many people who let their 3-5 year olds have soda and no juice options. I'm surprised that they don't have the minute maid apple juice since many of the CS locations have it as an option (not the boxes - but from the dispensers).

She can still use it! My daughter loves juice so we bought our own juice and then would fill her mug with it. And she still uses it at home

Trying to figure out if the trundle bed in the newly renovated rooms in Alligator Bayou are smaller than the trundle beds in the "old" rooms. Photos that I have seen seem to look smaller in the new rooms. Thanks.

Sorry, I didn't know that Hi-C Fruit Punch was meant to be orange and pineapple (I actually love orange and pineapple drinks, and don't like fizzy products either) as it's always tasted overpoweringly of cherry to me in the past, and has been a redish/purple colour. I wonder if they've changed the formula over the past couple of years?

I too wish that Port Orleans had apple juice in the dispensers like some of the other resorts, as I also drink a lot of that and it'd save me a fortune if they had it in the dispensers. They do have still lemonade, but that's rather too bitter for me, and I suspect for many children too.

Mind you, as I said, I rather took to Fuze on our last trip, but that's bottled.

Thanks Andre, I will be sure to let them know that we'll be ok with just leaving our bags and heading to the parks if needed. It would be nice to be able to check in and give the kids a nap first but they may be too excited to rest anyway. It's a small price to pay to get the nicer room for the whole trip :)

While it doesn't address the allergy issues at all, for the lemonade's-too-sour-but-punch-is-too-sweet folks, try combining the two; they balance each other nicely. I usually do 4/5 lemonade and 1/5 punch for a flavored lemonade effect.

My main wish would be for another location or two where the mugs could be refilled. Last visit my room (Bldg 35) was far enough from the Food Court that we didn't use the mugs very much since my feet and legs protested the walk after a long park day. Loved everything else about the location, though. Can't wait to see where they put us for next month's trip. Loved Alligator Bayou but like the look of Magnolia Bend, too, so our room location is being left up to Fate in the form of the room assigners! :goodvibes

What are the chances of actually catching a fish?

I have 2 boys that can make a competition out of breathing!!

If one catches one and the other doesn't, I'll be there forever until the other one catches a fish. (i believe I read fishing is in 30 minute increments)

Just wondering if I should even mention it as an activity....LOL....

was the bus service bad, crowded or standing room only?

We had some long waits in the morning. I think though it was mainly due to the marathon crowds. Also the traffic was super slow as some of the routes were closed for the runners. Coming home after the parks we had good service. I pretty much always stood as we got on at the east stop which was usually the last or second last stop. A few times I got a seat but gave it up to moms with babies.
