POrt Orleans Riverside Bus

I am trying to find out if the bus stops at port orleans have any other resorts on the their stop.

I am deciding on all star music vs port orleans riverside for a family of 10 going together.
(at all star it would be 1 suite for the family of 5, and then a family of 3 and a family of 2). the only other hotel - without going to delux would be riverside with the 5 in one room.

The one thing I don't like about the all star music is the buses are shared. At least the Music is not last....

And this is Christmas time.

In the morning, most Riverside buses are Riverside only.

Afternoon & evenings, most MK buses are Riverside only; buses for the other parks pick up at French Quarter before Riverside.

DTD buses generally go to FQ after Riverside.

For comparison, at PO, Riverside has about 2,000 rooms, and FQ has about 1,000. At All-Stars, each of the 3 resorts has about 1,900 (counting the family suites as 2 rooms.)

That is good to know....so you have about 3 x as many rooms using the same buses at all stars vs Riverside.

Hard choice...I think kids would like all stars better and family suite adds some additional features.

The bus situation is really a toss up. The All Star Resorts each have their own bus way more often than they share. They sometimes share, but not often. And sometimes POR will share with POFQ, but not always. And even when they don't share POR has 4 stops within the resort. Which is acutally pretty similar to the days the All Star Resorts share a bus. The All Stars are all hooked together by their parking lots, so it is more like multiple stops within a resort than driving to many different resorts.

Go with the resort that appeals to you most. I have stayed at both multiple times, and they are both great. Neither one has a huge advantage when it comes down to how the busses run.

Thanks for that update...I have always noticed the buses sharing at the all stars...which I agree is like mutlistops....but the music and movies were sometimes where we would drive in and then out as we were on the bus and it was full. Sounds like you are saying that you believe that they do sometimes have buses that go straight to the Music and straight to the Movies without stopping before?

Also does Riverside have mutliple stops in the resort.

I have stayed at the All Stars 4 times now. And it is more common for each resort to have their own bus than it is for them to share. Even when they share it is so not a huge deal. It doesn't take much time to drive across the parking lot to the next stop.

Port Orleans Riverside has 4 stops within the resort. And sometimes shares a bus with POFQ which would make for a total of 5 stops. POFQ picks up first when they do share, so I can't say how often they stopped there first before coming over to POR.

Though from my stays at POFQ I can tell you it is pretty common that they share a bus with POR unless the parks are really busy. During peak seasons (like Spring Break) the POFQ bus never stopped at POR. During slower times of year (like around Halloween) it was pretty common for the resorts to share a bus.

And it wasn't the time to share..so much as it filling up and never getting to the next stops and having to wait again (at either the value or por)..
