How is it? I have reservations during the holiday season and was interested in knowing transportation, dining, and special decorations or events.

Oh and is the Cirque show worth seeing?

Thanks everyone for taking time to share! :woohoo: :wizard:

Port Orleans - I think you are referring to the French Quarter section :) - is really nice. A small resort, easy to navigate with a food court and cute little shop. Only one bus stop, plus a boat that travels back and forth to DDT. The various sections have cute little "street" names like 'Rue Da Baga'. The food court is decorated in Mardi Gras-like masks. The bakery sells terrific beignets!

Cirque is always worth a visit! :thumbsup2

Port Orleans is composed of 2 resorts, French Quarter and Riverside. Each has their own unique theme. Both resorts are well liked for the most part on the dis from what we have read. We have stayed at Port Orleans Riverside numerous times and absolutely love it there. The grounds are beautiful to explore and the resort is very quiet. :goodvibes We enjoy the Sassagoula River and the boat transportation to downtown disney. There are buses that run you to all theme parks from both resorts (buses are primary source of transportation at both resorts). Port Orleans Riverside (POR) has 2 restaurants in the main building (Sassagoula Steamboat Company). The sit down is Boatwrights and the quick service is Riverside Mill. We enjoy both these restaurants. Check out www.portorleans.org. This is a good website with lots of good information about POR.
