There is a kiddle pool but there was just DH and I so although we saw it, I didn't really pay too much attention to it. But I do remember thinking that it was a cute little spot.

As to the beignets - not sure as we weren't on the DDP, but I'm guessing probably one of the smaller servings might be....but whether or not they're on the DDP, you still have to try one (or two, or three). I have icing sugar probably still permanently ground into my Mickey T-shirt.

The smaller portion (I think it was 3) was on the DDP as a snack last fall when we stayed at POFQ.

:woohoo: so where are you going to eat Kathy? we are just doing QS this trip!

made our ressies today to take a carriage ride with friends on 10/16!

Lisa, we booked this room with the Free Dining offer so we have the DDP. But I made ADRs for a lot of Signature restaurants and will pay some OOP. On the OOP ones we'll order appetizers and skip dessert. We've booked Flying Fish, Artist Point, Le Cellier (lunch), Coral Reef, Jiko and Plaza Restaurant. We're only staying four nights but will have dinner at FF on arrival day and stay for the day on departure day through dinner. I know we'll use 2 of our 4 QS at Flame Tree and Cosmic Ray's. Not quite sure how we'll use the other 2 each, probably just for breakfast, once at POFQ.

Hey guys! We're slowly inching closer to our vacation & I just took a look at all of our plans & ADR's for the first time in a month or so. We have some early-ish ADR's for breakfast a couple of days -- 8:20 a.m. in Akershus and 8:50 a.m. at Chef Mickey's (I say early because DD usually sleeps until 8 a.m.).

I'm wondering, all you experienced POFQ'ers, what time would you plan on being at the bus stop?

The central laundry area is near the pool (actually between the pool and hot-tub) and shares the building with Mardi Grog pool bar. It's really convenient because you can throw your clothes into the washer or dryer and spend time in either the pool or hot tub. Although they have vending machines for soap, fabric softener, dryer sheets, I personally find it easiest to buy some the the Purex Laundry sheets before I leave home and pack 3 or 4 of them. They' about the size of a 1/2 sheet of paper (but a little thicker) and take absolutely no room up in your suitcases (and makes stuff smell good too)...I know that piece of advice was unsolicited but money saved on that type of stuff is money for Beignettes!! ha ha:rotfl:

Shih Tzu, great tip thanks for posting it.

Regarding the Purex laundry sheets...I brought some samples to Pop Century last year and found that they didn't work very well. When I used the sheet in the dryer, it left oil spots on some of our shirts. I was able to get them out later at home.

I cut the dryer sheet part off because I have had the same thing happen with oily spots.

Two more sleeps and we will be at the POFQ!

so much info here, thanks everyone!

I do have one question, for all who have just been here, are all the room refurbished? We are going March 2012, I was just curious.

thanks in advance!

This may be a repeat - but has anyone tried to place a twin sized aero bed in the new refurb POQ rooms ?

Do you think the twin sized areo bed will fit between the window and the queen bed ?

So Excited!

We are booked at POFQ for our upcoming trip in January (5th - 12th), my DH will be running the half marathon and we are bringing his sister along, the queen beds and curtained sink area will be nice with 3 adults in the room. :jester:

We stayed at POFQ back in 2006, I'm so excited to see the newly refirbed rooms. The photos look beautiful. We stayed in building 7 during our last trip and looked out towards an adorible rectangular frog fountain.

SIL has never been out of New England, I can't wait to share WDW with her. I hope she loves it as much as we do.

Good luck to everyone with upcoming trips. :wizard:

It's finally getting closer!!!:yay::yay:

I guess you missed my post on page 146. We used a twin size air mattress in a refurbished room and it fit fine. We put it between the window and the first bed. I usually tipped it up against the wall during the day.
