JessietheNCCowgirl, thanks so much for sharing your pics! I love your resort window! I wonder if they will still have the camp fire, movies, and pool activities in September when we stay at FQ for the first time?

Thanks for the compliments on the windows/pictures everyone.

Marl, I spotted that hidden Mickey after I posted the picture as well. :upsidedow - Good eye!

lovethatthink - As far as activities going forward, I asked a cast member at the campfire if the activities were something they were going to continue doing or was it just for the summer months. She told me it would be ongoing so I hope she is right for those wanting to participate in the upcoming months. I hope you have a wonderful time!

Oh cool, I was hoping they would have those activities in September. With shorter park hours we will be at the resort in the evening.

JessetheNCCowgirl- thank you so much for the review and pics! I REALLY hope they are still doing the campfire in early November!! We did it at the YC in June (and at the CR last year) and thought it was such a fun pitstop on the way to the room after the parks! Ditto for the pool activities!

Awesome! I hope she is right too!! Since we are "locals" we made our Disney stays all about the resorts and not the parks. So that will make for some added fun!!

Does anyone know what is offered for food at Scat Cats? All I've seen mentioned is only the term "appetizers".

Thanks

Can anyone tell me what is included in the Bounty Platter for breakfast?

I can't find it anywhere.:confused3

Don't forget you're only a few yards from the food court, so you can get food from there and bring it back to Scat Cat's if you like.

Oh, love the pictures as well. Thanks so much for posting them!! My 7yo DD is excited about the parks, but the pics REALLY got her excited about the resort!! Also love the windows - it's given her a few ideas. Can't wait!!!

Jessie, thanks so much for sharing your pictures and experience. I am so excited and can't wait to be there. Did you purchase the mug with the RFID chips in them, and if so, how did it work for you?

Thanks again,

Thanks for those great pics- I am starting to get more and more excited about our trip:thumbsup2

I am happy to post the pictures. We had such a great time, I really enjoy looking at them. I miss French Quarter already!

The refillable mugs did not have the RFID chips in them yet, so I can't really comment on them from that aspect. I do think they are worth getting if you spend a lot of time at the resort. We spent about 4-5 hours in the morning at the parks and then came back to the resort to swim, have dinner and soak in the atmosphere of both POFQ and POR. We'd fill them before swimming and bring them to the tables around the pool, fill them again at dinner and then also later after walking around the resort. My DH also got coffee in the mornings, but I'm not really a coffee drinker so didn't take advantage.

I hope you all have a wonderful trip and post your pictures when you get back! :goodvibes

Those mugs are only at All Star Sports right now on a trial basis.

Jessie, I too have to thank you for posting your beautiful pics!

I didn't know all the activities went on at this resort! How exciting and frustrating...LOL now what to choose, more park time or those activities??? :lmao: I must say it would be a no brainer if Bambi was on a day I would be there, but this is a shorter trip, so that day is out.

Man...movies outside....gonna have to think on this. I am a child of the "drive-in" days.....I miss that!!!

JessietheNCCowgirl, where were the signs you found with all the activities listed?

Just back from a wonderful stay at POFQ. We were not disappointed in the refurbished rooms! They were elegant and very clean. The resort didn't seem crowded at all. While we were there they were painting the floors of the corridors in building 4 and it didn't appear that building 7 had any occupants either.

Wow! Great pics. Makes me want to leave today.
