Does the PO have irons and/or hair dryers in the rooms? This is our first trip to WDW and I'm trying to pack as little as possible. Also, is it easier to pack for 7days or for 4 days and do a little laundry? Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated. :flower:

Hi! I can't answer your ? as we haven't been there yet, but I was going to suggest that you ask a Community leader to move this thread to the Disney resorts forum so you can get more responses. This forum is for non-Disney hotels and attractions. :flower:

4 days (especially if you are flying ) - the airlines are charging extra now.

Yes PO has both in the room - if they don't or if your is broken just call housekeeping and they will bring you one.

welcome!!!

The Laundry is by the hot tub at FQ. Just take a couple extra t-shirts.

We were there 7 days and flew. We packed for 7 days and didn't do laundry, but my kids are pretty small so there clothes are pretty small too ;)

Yes, POR has irons, ironing boards, and hair dryers. Also, coffee makers and fridges.
We did a little laundry while there, and it was not a problem!

I will also confirm that PO has hair dryers and irons. The hair dryers are the small kind without a lot of power, but I don't have thick hair and had no problems with them. I refuse to do laundry so we pack for all the days. There is simply not enough time for a "laundry day". We are two adults and have packed and flown with enough clothes for 15 days before. I would think you could easily pack for seven. Each airline flyer is allowed two checked bags and one carry on.

On all our trips (not just WDW) I pack for 4-5 days and do laundry. No matter how many clothes we bring, someone always runs out of something. So, I pack less. Plus, we don't own that many clothes to begin with. Plus, dh is a runner and he always has some stinky clothes!!

When we stayed at POR, I went swimming in the quiet pool with ds one evening and the laundry is right next to the pool, so I did laundry while we swam. When we were at POFQ, ds and dh swam and I had a drink at the bar and read a book. The laundry is right next to the pool there, too.

Here are photos I took of the items you asked about during our January trip to Acadian House (sorry, the ironing board photo is a little blurry). Also, we pack fairly lightly and do some laundry about half way through our trip. That works great for us. The laundry rooms we used at POR and POFQ have been very clean

I'd pack for 4 days and do laundry. We packed for each day of our trip and kicked ourselves for having to lug around that much luggage. I just wanted to suggest trying the carriage ride at POR. We did it last Wednesday and loved it. It's $30 for a 30 minute ride. You can call 407-wdw-play to book it. :flower:

Yes, there is an iron and ironing board and also a hairdryer. The laundry facility is great, right beside each pool area so you can swim and do laundry at the same time... :earsgirl:
