Advise on hotels close to the Port of Vancouver, clean, safe and won't break the bank.
Thanks

Summer is cruise season and it's gorgeous in BC and so it's already more expensive. Therefore, breaking the bank is relative. :)

Many people here love the Pan Pacific and the Fairmonts at the water. There's another Fairmont a few blocks up. I need none of those.

For our honeymoon cruise we stayed at the Westin Grand on either side of the cruise. I've stayed at Westin Bayshore. Our last Vancouver trip we got Hyatt Regency, Club level, which was AMAZING. And in the rainy season, it's not too expensive. Cruise season, it'll be higher.

We adore Sutton Place, and really enjoy their connected condos, Le Grande Residence at Sutton Place. I've enjoyed the Holiday Inn in downtown (you'll know their website by the orca mural *inside* their swimming pool). Listel Hotel is lovely.

Century Plaza was alright, but we stayed there during a renovation time, so it colored our view.

The Sheraton at Wall Centre is just across from that, and looks marvelous.

Everything I've mentioned is, ultimately, walkable if there was a bus and cab strike. :) But cabs are plentiful, clean, and not expensive.

We stayed at the Sheraton Wall Centre and it is very nice. If it wasn't for the luggage, we would have walked to the cruise terminal. Vancouver is a beautiful city. I hope you are able to spend a few days enjoying it before or after your cruise.

The hotels right next to Canada Place are out of our price range. We're booked at Blue Horizon which several have recommended on this board and have good reviews at Trip Advisor. It's on Robson Street and close to dining and shopping. There's also free shuttle pickup to Capilano Suspension Bridge which was another selling point for us. I can't report back, as we haven't been, but it's possibly an option for you. If you have AAA, they have a discount.

I stayed at the Blue Horozon Hotel after my RCCL cruise last summer and loved it! Very clean, wonderful staff, and if you get a balcony room on the higher floors the views are AMAZING!!

We stayed at the pinnacle harbor front. Very nice but downtown hotels are expensive ($300+). If you stay by the airport it will cost much less. You can take the sky train downtown if you want to sight see. We then took a taxi to the port

Thanks everyone. I will look all of those up. Our cruise isn't untill the end of May 2017, but l want to gather as much info as l can. I really enjoy the planning. I thought Toronto was expensive, Vancouver seems more so. We have never been there so we want to go a couple of days ahead.

We booked Pan Pacific for around $200 through a site called "Last Minute Travel" (weird name cause you don't have to wait till the last minute to book). They don't directly tell you the name of the hotel before you book but if you study the pics and then go to Pan Pacific's website and study their pics, you can figure it out. Pan Pacific is directly above the cruise terminal (as in, the same building!) and the porters will take your bags down and check them in for you. There are definitely cheaper places if you're willing to go just a little bit down the road (still walking distance) but we found the convenience a dream!

When did you go? Month? Last year? I am also looking at all of these hotels for the end of July 2016. Thanks!

We got that price for a late Aug 2015 cruise ($205- booked 6 mos ahead) and the same for an upcoming May 2016 cruise ($213- booked 4 mos ahead).

Robson Street is fantastic! We loved walking up and down Robson.

We stayed at Shangri LA hotel, gorgeous hotel, we really love it, booked 10 months in advanced and have a really good price.

Delta Suites is a nice hotel, clean and close enough to the port that you can walk or take a 5 minute cab ride.

The Hampton Inn by BC Place is nice, on Robson, includes breakfast, has a Costco close by, and has a free shuttle to the port. And it won't break the bank, especially if you have Hilton Honors points...
