So checked in tonight as a platinum cruiser for a January sailing Dream and had a few minor hiccups with DCL uploading photos but was able to get checked in pretty quickly. But it left me wondering what is the earliest PAT at Port Everglades? 11:30 AM?

I ask because I was given BG 5 (which is great) but a PAT of noon (when driving to port) so I was surprised by such a PAT that late with a BG that low. Is that the norm out of Ft. Lauderdale?

Also anything I should know or prepare myself for sailing out PE please let me know. My son does so much better when warned ahead about any potential headaches (as do I)

Thanks!

We're sailing on the Dream out of Port Everglades next week. We got Boarding Group 5 as well. We originally had an 11:30 PAT, but were able to move that to 11:15 when we just happened to check for earlier times a few days after our initial check-in.

We sailed out of Port Everglades at the end of January 2024. We had Boarding Group 8, and I think our PAT was 12. Our Uber was early and we were at the port around 11:20. We were able to walk right in for security/document check and then had to wait 10 mins for our boarding group to be called. I know for sure that we were on board, headed to Cabanas at 11:50.

Every adult in the vehicle will need to show an ID to drive into the port area.

What is the earliest PAT you can get at PE? For example, what time will boarding group 1 or 2 go on board?
Cheers!

They also ask for your PAT form along with ID

Hmm, that must have changed. Because our Uber driver, DH and I only had to show driver's licenses to enter the secure port area before you drive to the terminals. We did have to show our PAT form at the terminal along with the forms of ID we used for check in.

I would assume PATs get adjusted slightly depending on the tides - but maybe I’m wrong? We had BG 5 and an 11:30 PAT at PE in October. Our boarding process was very easy, and we even forgot our luggage tags! We actually walked to the port from our hotel.

Which hotel did you stay at?

We sailed last week and had a PAT of 11:45 and BG 5. Our Lyft pick up was way speedier than we planned for and I think we arrived at 11:15. We breezed through security and then just waited until they started calling the BGs. Yes, every adult needed to show ID. I was left crawling over seats to my bag 🙄

We will be on the Dream next week. PAT 11:30 with Boarding Group 4 using Disney Transportation from the Hilton Marina partner hotel.

Do you know what time DCL is picking you up from the Hilton? I’m currently signed up for DCL transportation for a January cruise on the Dream. I’m trying to figure out how early the transportation departs from the hotel. I want an early PAT, but I don’t want to feel rushed in the morning either!

The Renaissance Hotel on SE 17th St. There’s also a nice seafood restaurant next door that looks over the marina.
Re walking to port - Is there a designated path for walk up passengers? It maps out to following the driving path for vehicles at the entrance to the port, looping around s driveway.
