In order to use our OBB discount, we put one member of my brothers family in a room with us. We want to arrive at the port and get on the boat as early as possible, but my brothers family may be arriving later in the day. My question is do all members in a room have to check in and get on the boat at the same time or can they arrive after us?

Once you're checked in, I guess you could get on the ship at different times if you wanted to. But, everyone in one state room does need to be present to check in.

Thanks. That's what we were wondering if we could check in without them and they could check in later. Sounds like a no. Thanks!

Is this a change? I've read that you can check in separately, as long as each person checking in has their proper ID.

I don't know. Last fall my cousin could not check in until her husband got back from dropping off the rental car. The CM checking her in said the whole party needed to be present. This was in Miami, so maybe Port Canaveral is different

On our last cruise we had to have everyone in our stateroom present at time of check in at Port Canaveral.

How long ago was your last cruise ? In San Diego last year, DW checked in, boarded and made all reservations before DD and I arrived at the ship 5 hours later. We just had to show our ID and get our KTTW cards and walk right aboard.

Our last cruise was July 2015. We have cruised on DCL out of Port Canaveral five times before and every time we checked in they required everyone in our stateroom to be present.

This has always been our experience all people to be present at check in. I never thought about boarding I don't see why you couldn't do it spilt. What if some of you were concierge for example.

It seems like different processes have occurred over the past couple years in the different port cities. So, I guess you should be prepared that the whole party will need to be there in order to check in. However, if they let some of you check in early and you can board the ship that's great.
