Port Canaveral terminal parking

We have a 3 day cruise coming in June, what are the costs for parking at the terminal? I assume the price mentioned earlier is for the longer trips?

3 day Cruise will cost $60 to park in the garage. If you do a back to back cruise 3 nights/4 nights do the 3 night first because they will only charge you for the 3 night portion as long as you don't move the vehicle between cruises.

We pay for the preferred parking at the port as well and although it is outside, it was literally a walk out of the terminal to throw my luggage in the truck and leave soonest since we always drive down. But it really comes down to preference!

I saw the prepay option on the port website and I like that. One less thing to worry about. No worries for us being tempted by the offsite parking signs, when I leave the boat I want to get in my car and go, not a shuttle to my car.

If I prepay, do you know if it is refundable in case something happens and we cancel the cruise?

Hi! For our next cruise, we are considering driving to the port for the first time... and well, this is silly, but I'm in love with our new minivan , and was wondering, if the parking spots are a generous size, or tight? Are they all the same width/size? Does the garage get crowded?
Also, this is a September cruise, and I'm worried about the weather, and storms, while we are gone... are there any parts of the garage more 'protected' from winds and weather? ... and as far as less movement of cars while we are gone, are there any levels of the garage that are quieter?
I think another poster mentioned going up higher in the garage? Also, is there access to an elevator from all levels (because we will have kids and strollers and what not).

correct, there are two off site parking places within 10 minutes of the pier where you can park for approx. 1/2 what the port charges. You need to pay in advance via their website to get the best price and price fluctuates .... but ALWAYS better $ than parking at the port. Neither of these is covered however

Note that you can pre-pay for the port parking on their web site also ... this provides no discount but some enjoy paying this up front and have one less thing to worry about. IMO they offer this because if you pre-pay you are not tempted by signs as you approach the port offering parking for WAY less $ .... but that just my opinion

Park and Cruise also has a military discount which is much appreciated.

It's been reported that you pay for the first cruise and, as long as you don't come out and move your car between cruises (unlikely), you don't have to pay for the second.

You are correct, you need to park on one of the higher decks. You might also want to park on the interior of the garage instead of facing the exterior. Best bet would be on the actual up and down ramp parking area to be most shielded from ocean spray. I would say that the parking spaces are probably standard for parking garages, that is to say, a little bit on the small side compared to surface lots. There are end spaces that do give you a little bit more room, but if you park higher up you shouldn't have much worry. In fact I'm not sure I've seen anyone parked on the roof top or a full 2nd from the top.

We did a back to back in Feb. When you pull up to pay, they just charge you for the current cruise at the dock. So it is essentailly, pay for one cruise parking get the second free! You do not need to notify the parking attendants, Disney, or anyone else that you are parking longer because you are doing a back to back. When you get off the first cruise and clear customs, take the escalator back to the check in area. Check in and you are good to go to enjoy your first aboard the ship access.

If you decided to leave the terminal area, you will not be able to reenter for the next cruise until the terminal is opened for all new arriving guests. This means you cannot run out to the parking garage and toss a bag in your car or grab something you forget the first time. If you do that, you will be hanging out at your car until 1030-1100 when the terminal reopens. However, you do not need to leave the terminal to check you car or pay any port parking fees, because no one is expecting you to pay it.

If you decide to leave the parking garage to go do something else, like the space center, going to Publix whatever, you will not be able to reenter the port until it opens and you will have to pay parking again for the length of the cruise currently at the dock.

Remember, the cars in the garage rotate frequently across 2 ships (usually). There is a 7 night cruise and a 3 and 4 night cruises.

What does this mean for your alcohol allowance? Not too much. There was a report where someone was pulled to the side for having too much. They explained and had their paper work for a back to back, and they were allowed to board with the full allowance for both trips after a call to a supervisor. You could also surrender your over allowance at the gangway and then collect it at the end of your first cruise and then carry it on for the second. Of course your mileage may vary based on which cast member you come across.

You get a paper ticket/receipt but there isn't a requirement to have it displayed.

Us too. We drive down from SC, and usually stay at WDW pre-cruise. Our car is usually filthy by that point anyway.

We'll be driving down from New Jersey and will be in the Canaveral area the night before departure. Any recommendations for motels in the area? Also I'm thinking about off site parking, any opinions?
