Port Canaveral PAT open boarding?

Booked a last minute cruise - Wish this Friday. Obviously got a really late boarding time but I have heard at some point they allow everyone to enter the terminal and open boarding ? Does anyone have any experience ? Thanks!

It seems to be somewhere around 12:30ish that happens that folks can start just getting in security line.

Usually open boarding starts at 12:30pm. We never arrive before then, except when we have done Concierge. We have always found the Port reasonably quite then and check in has always happened quickly and we usually board the ship within 30 minutes from entering the security line.

While "open boarding" is often called around 12:45ish (give or take) -- be aware it may not. I think there was a report the other day of boarding didn't even begin until 12:15 (about 30-45 minutes later than usual).
