Port Canaveral 12/17

I know a couple people that live down there in that area and they go to Fishlips occasionally to watch the ships and they said a lot of people there were complaining about it a couple weeks ago saying it ruins the view of the Disney terminal and ship. From some areas over there it totally blocks the view of the Fantasy. I think it's only the Fantasy affected because the ugly ship isn't there when the Dream is.

Just pointing it out because when discussing it in the past and people go to the port webcam the ugly ship is gone and people wanted to see what we were talking about. IT'S THERE RIGHT NOW (Fri Jan 6, 2017 @ 11:45am EST). Go to Port Canaveral Webcam and you'll see it partially obscuring the bow of the Dream.

It may be a fantastic ship to sail on, but it looks like it's been built out of Lego blocks!

Never thought of it that way but it sure does. Another thing, why does it appear that all the lifeboats are white? I thought it was required that they be orange? I remember Disney having to get some special exemption to make theirs yellow.

No, lifeboats just have to be visible on the water. Disney broke the ground when they ran trials to prove that yellow was just as visible as orange. Maybe they did the same for white.

It does appear that there is some other color on the sides of the boats, maybe the top also?

White can be a tricky color on the water though. Sometimes depending on the angle of the sun, white can wash out. I'm surprised they would allow white as the base color.

If you google the Epic, you'll see images overlooking the lifeboats. They have red-orange insets on the top of the lifeboats and call numbers painted on them. That's maybe enough to be spotted, as these are very large lifeboats (hold 300 people, according to the wiki)
