Port Arrival Time

I am just trying to make sure I understand this completely.

I have a port arrival time of 10:45-11am. We are getting a car service and I was told DCL made a new policy that car services can't drop anyone off before 11am.

Is my boarding pass connected to that Port Arrival time or the actual time I check in. What I mean by that is if we don't get to port until 11:15 due to the car service not being able to pick us up until 10am does that mean we get a later boarding then those that had a Port Arrival of 11-11:15am. Not that that makes a huge difference. I believe you don't start boarding until 11:30ish anyway, correct.

I am just trying to decide if it would be better to rent a car and drive to port. They are about the same cost.

You are correct. PAT determines boarding time, not check-in time. So you should be fine with the car service as you describe. Renting a car will actually take longer than that since you'll have to return it to the company or at least park it in the garage, instead of just getting dropped off.
