I checked in this morning at 1201 am… finished at 1250 am😳 got boarding group 10 1130-1145 am arrival time… does anyone know usually how many people in a boarding group on average? And how many boarding groups per 15 min arrival window? The ship is Disney Wonder. System wasn’t taking may passport expiration date which is in 2029 re entered everything finally had to go to the birth certificate drivers license combo ( which I didn’t have scanned in) should have had it for back up

On the Dream on 17 Jan, Groups 1-3 were huge and took almost 45 minutes to move through the queue. Groups 4-6 (we were in 6) went through in about 15 minutes total. I think it was probably Group 3 that was the biggest. They went 1, 2 pretty fast, then it was 3 forever (although not sure if there were 1s and 2s caught up in that group).

I have to say it depends. When we boarded the Dream on the 28th we were boarding group 11 the sign said Groups 1-8 when we got into the terminal. We walked over toward the waiting area we were told to go ahead and board and walked right up the gangway. We waited less than 5 minutes to get into the Atrium.

So anything can happen in my opinion.

Once you clear the COVID testing, you'll head to the terminal where you'll hold your passports up to the glass so they can scan them. We finished the COVID testing at 1100, and we were onboard Fantasy (early Jan) within 20 minutes. There was no line for anything, and even though we were "boarding group 6," they waved us right on board. Arrival order is:
- Arrive at port
- Directed to COVID tent
- Get tested
- Wait for results
- Assuming results are negative, head to terminal
- Show boarding docs, passports, etc.
- Security scan
- Optional photo
- On to the ship!

Your KTTW card(s) will be in a sealed envelope on your door fish (or seahorse) when you get to your room around 2pm. Lanyards will be on the bed in the room.

Cheers!

How do you purchase drinks before you have your kttw card? Cuz that's our first stop once on board.

They'll ask you for the cabin number and then for your name (to be sure they match). Purchased several 'relieved to be onboard' drinks before we ever got close to the cabin on the last two cruises.
Yep, the only time you need the KTTW card is for the tap pad in the stores and getting off and on the ship.

Just to clarify, even AFTER you get your KTTW card, that is no longer being used for drink purchases at the bars or cafes to minimize people either handing over the cards back and forth or leaning in so someone can scan a lanyard. You will just give your room number and last name each time.

Correct, although you will still need it in the merchandise stores and on Castaway Cay in the stores there.
