Wondering if anyone is at the point of making their final payment and booking port activities (on shore) etc.? Are you able to book tours and choices were available, or was this all in "limbo"? I assume this would be for cruises departing in July. Final payments are typically due within 2 months of sail dates... so curious how folks and DCL are dealing with this now? We have a sail date of Sept 4th on the Fantasy and trying to figure out if there is a point in paying earlier to be able to make booking selection by May 22nd? The whole process is up in the air but curious if anyone is going through this now... Thanks

I believe the benefit of paying in full is that if Disney cancels your sailing, they will reimburse at 125% to be used on future sailings. But, if your cruise doesn't go out and all you want is a full refund, then there would not be a benefit to paying in full early. In terms of Port Adventures....who knows what that is going to look like? I guess you book 'in case' it's available and then wait to see if it actually is available. I'm sure someone with greater insight will answer.

I PIF-ed for my HOTHS in October. I'm not sure if it is happening (and if I'm comfortable with going, but that's not the point here) but IF it does happen, I want to be able to put in all my requests. I don't believe that we'll get another 125, since this is a 125 already. That being said, I'm not doing it for Port Adventures. IF we do get to go places, I will book them on my own. It is all about access to stuff on the ship.

And I didn't PIF what was supposed to be our cruise in May this year, because I just didn't want to spend the money on a second cruise that I wasn't sure was happening.

We were booked for February and were able to make our onboard reservations and port adventures prior to the cruise being cancelled. The onboard reservations looked pretty much the same as before with the absence of character meet and greets. As far as port adventures, I didn’t see any noticeable differences.

We're booked on a Fantasy cruise at the end of July and I just paid in full last week. There were plenty of options for shore excursions, etc. The number or type of shore excursions really didn't appear to be any different than what they would normally have.

Thanks for all the responses. So anjuan, if you are end of July, which Itinerary is that? We are going to pay in full on schedule like we normally would and go through the process of booking our excursions and ship activities. Our 12 year old is our youngest so likely to get the vaccine in the next 2-3 weeks so we will be a 100% vaccinated family looking forward to our Sept. sailing (fingers and toes crossed).

Also booked on the July 25 Fantasy cruise for six nights in the Caribbean. We were paid in full when this cruise was canceled from last summer and rescheduled. Also have booked our excursions, just like normal. Fingers crossed that the cruise happens. We are still going a few days in advance to WDW, which we will do with or without the cruise.
