I'm making pork chops for dinner. I usually just shake and bake them and serve with applesauce (of course ;) ).

I'm kinda in a cooking mood since I'm actually home today.

Any suggestions? What's your favorite pork chop recipe???

I like mine in the crockpot with onion soup mix and water.
I put in potatoes and carrots as well.

I have one that's so easy...I tend to use this one on weeknights.

Brown pork chops (both sides) in a frying pan over medium high heat.

Add to pan 3 or 4 diced potatoes, one onion cut into wedges, half a red pepper diced.

Pour one can low sodium beef broth over everything and sprinkle a little powdered onion soup mix in.

Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer and cover. Simmer for 45 minutes to an hour depending on the thickness of the pork chops.

That's it. So easy and my family loves it. It keeps the pork chops really moist (I really can't stand dried out pork chops.)

I really like this recipe from allrecipes.com Make sure to place them on a baking sheet, they always leak juices!!

Simple but Awesome Lemon Pepper Pork Chops

INGREDIENTS:

* 4 pork chops
* 1 tablespoon lemon pepper
* 8 tablespoons butter
* 8 tablespoons olive oil
* 4 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

DIRECTIONS:

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
2. Tear off a generous square of tin foil for each chop, enough to wrap and seal completely. Coat both sides of each chop with lemon pepper.
3. Put 1 tablespoon butter and 1 tablespoon olive oil in the middle of each square of tin foil. Put the peppered chops on top of the butter and oil. Put 1 tablespoon of butter and 1 tablespoon olive oil on top of each chop. Add 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce over the top of each chop. Wrap each chop tightly and place on middle rack of oven. Bake for 35 minutes.

I tried a new recipe last night. It was very good....even though it used boxed stuffing ;)

Mix box of stuffing mix, (I used cornbread) with 1 chopped Granny Smith apple, 1 cup of dried cranberries and 1 cup of chicken broth.
Put half that mix in a crockpot sprayed with nonstick spray.
Put the pork chops in ....calls for 4.
Other half of stuffing mix on top.
Low setting for 8 hours.

Yummy!

That sounds real good but I don't have enough time today. I bet I could do it tomorrow and substitute the pork chops I have with some chicken breasts.
Yum......

Some great ideas.....keep them coming!

I just put then in a baking dish, cover with BBQ sauce, and bake for a little while. My parents always cooked them with sauerkraut, but DH doesn't like it (what a shame, I love the stuff).

I brown the chops, then put them in a baking dish with one can of cream of mushroom soup and one can of cheddar cheese soup. I lay very thinly cut potatoes on top and bake in the oven. The potatoes are so good and the pork chops stay moist.

I either make them with shake-n-bake or just plain.

Plain, just add some salt, pepper and garlic powder to them and throw them on the grill. If it is raining like today than I throw them in the frying pan instead.

I place them in a baking dish, cover with ketchup and a couple of tablespoons of brown sugar on each. They stay moist and have a mild "sweet & sour" type flavor to them.

I grill mine. Brush each chop with a little olive oil & sprinkle with some season salt. Grill until done and serve with potatoes and green beans. My kids love them cooked this way--they call it "orange pork chops" :goodvibes

Here's a super easy recipe to make.:
1)dip pork chops in a scrambled egg to coat
2)coat pork chips completely with Progresso Italian Bread Crumbs
3)fry over low heat to ensure cooking thorougly inside AND so it doesn't cook the coating too fast
4)Pour a can of Campbell's Mushroom Soup over fried pork chops

Serve with a side of rice and enjoy!

Salt, pepper, and garlic - cooked on the grill. Not a good day for that around here though :)

I usually just coat my pork chops with Oven Fry (no more Shake and Bake for us--Oven Fry is SO much better!), but when I want something a bit more special I cook them this way.

Pork Chops with Sage and White Wine

Pat dry four 1-inch thick pork chops with a paper towel. Combine 1/2 teaspoon sage with 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper; rub evenly over chops. In large skillet heat 1 tablespoon salad or olive oil over medium-high heat. Add chops and brown well, turning once, 6 minutes per side. Transfer to a serving platter and keep warm in low oven. To drippings in skillet add 1/4 cup minced shallots and saute until translucent, about 2 minutes. Add 1 cup white wine, 1 cup chicken broth and 1/4 teaspoon sage, stirring to scrape up browned bits; cook until reduced by half, about 10 minutes. Pour sauce over chops.

Yummy. I usually serve it with rice.

We use McCormick's Chicken Seasoning! It's good on stuff like that!!! MM good!
