hi
can anyone tell me
1) is there a great difference between port & pofq?
2)does it beat the allstar movies by a long way?
3)is there a safe in the room & is it a safe hotel (things like that worry me )
4)would this hotel be a good recommendation from you?
5) if not which disney hotel would you recommend as virgin will let me change my booking.
6)is there deffinatly coffee making facilities in the rooms.
7)can you go fishing at por as my son loves this sport?

The two biggest differences between Riverside and French Quarter are the theming and the food court. POFQ is themed to be a New Orleans, jazz-style resort, and POR is split into the Bayou and Mansion sections. The food court at POR is bigger and has a few more options than the one at POFQ.

In my opinion, POR beats the All-Star Movies. It is quieter and more relaxed (you get a lot of convention/competition groups at all of the All-Star Resorts). There is a safe in every room. Unfortunately, there are no coffee pots (although you can always go to the food court).

Catch-and-release fishing (you don't get to keep the fish) is offered at POR, although you will have to check with a Cast Member to see if it is available during your stay.

On the safety note, all of the Resorts on property are very safe. Guest Safety is WDW's number one priority. There is a security kiosk at the entrance to each WDW Resort to monitor who goes in and out. All of the Resorts are well-lit at nighttime.

That said, POR is one of my favorite places to stay. I would absolutely recommend it to you... and have a wonderful time on your first trip to the most Magical Place on Earth!
