Yes, I know they are each quite different! We are 6 adults (grandparents with adult daughter and adult son, their spouses and 2 grands, who will be 8 and 4 when we visit.)

This group stayed previously in the contemporary, having booked garden view wing, 2 connecting rooms, and was sprinkled with pixie dust upon arrival to an upgrade in the tower without request! An awesome surprise.

So planning to return summer 2018 and currently have a hold on preferred connecting rooms at CBR.
However, there is a chance that refurbishing will continue and the food court, pool bar and 2 other restaurants may be closed. I'm also concerned about transportation to and from the parks.

Have stayed at PO (not riverside) before and liked it...POR has appeal in amenities and rooms that sleep 5, but, proximity of WL really has appeal...but not sure it is worth the additional $$$.

Any input to help me decide is much appreciated! Thank you

I haven't stayed at WL but if you are going to spend any time at MK and can swing the price, I'd stay there. I've stayed at POR in the mansions and loved it and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Is WL worth it? It all depends on you, we do split stays with the first two nights at a moderate then move over to an Epcot deluxe (or Swan/Dolphin depending on price) for the rest of the trip so for us, yes a deluxe is worth it.

We've stayed at both CBR and WL and while we had a great time and loved everything about CBR, I think WL is an amazing deluxe for the price. As the pp said, if you will spend a lot of time at MK, you can't beat being so close/convenient. We found the transportation at CBR to be great, but the WL has an edge over CBR with easy access to MK, as well as to the CR/monorail resorts for a variety of dining/shopping options. I think you'll have a great time at any resort you choose, but if the extra cost is doable, I'd go with WL. Good luck!

WL is a great hotel, as i've said in some other threads... coming from the PNW the decor is 'just like home' so that was never a big appeal! lol, however, when we stayed there last year we absolutely loved it. The amenities are great but the best thing we liked was the access to MK via the boat service. Quick, peaceful and fun! We enjoyed it so much that we are having a split stay again this time between the WL and the Poly as the kids really loved it. The pool is great too, all around it is a great hotel for the price! Circa $284+tax a night with AP discount too!

I totally feel you. I need 3 rooms for 7 nights and I'm trying to decide if we should stay at

CBR for $3438
CSR for $3882
POR for $4056

I have stayed at WL and I really enjoyed my stay there. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Due to construction, I would avoid CBR. POR is very different from POFQ. You will have multiple bus stops within the resort and the resort is much larger (twice the number of rooms). If your last trip was CR, I would say go with WL if you can swing it. WL will have more square footage in the rooms vs. the moderate resorts. (although WL rooms are not as large as CR) It is also condensed to one building so you don't have a long walk from the bus or boat like a mod. Plus WL is finishing up a MAJOR construction project with the new DVC so you will have all new amenities. Keep in mind WL decreased it's number of rooms by roughly half (converted to DVC) so I suspect it will be less likely to be included in discount offerings and could book fast. All this being said, I love POR Riverside but if I was choosing between it and WL, it would be WL 100% of the time.

I absolutely agree with Mickeynut1!

WL is an awesome resort and has great boat access to the MK. If it is in the budget, it would be my pick for sure. POR and CBR are great moderates, but I would always choose a deluxe over a moderate if given the choice.

I've stayed at all of them and while I love both CBR and POR if I had to choose and had a bit more to spend, I would pick WL every time. We stayed there this past December and it was gorgeous. By the way, you can see Wishes from the standard rooms. What a treat!

I personally would not stay at the CBR again. It is my least favorite out of all of the resorts. The WL is a deluxe hotel, with more of a moderate price tag (depending on when you are going). That said, POR is my absolutely favorite out of all of the resorts. I just love the look and feel of Riverside. The staff is outstanding, and walkways and gardens are peaceful - it's just a beautiful resort. The rooms at WL are also on the small side. Not the size of a typical deluxe room, so if it's a ton more money, save it and go with POR. At the end of the day, you are still going to have to wait in line for transportation back to your resort, no matter which one you choose.
