POR to Universal

Has anyone used Mears bus from Port Orleans Riverside to Universal? If so, where does it pick you up both at the Resort and at Universal? Is the area well marked at Universal or hard to find. Been a long time since I been at Universal.

Was unaware of any mass transit that would pick you up at a disney resort and take you to a non disney park.. Know you can call a cab and have them take you or rent a car and drive yourself, but not familiar with any other transportation to universal from disney..

If you are talking about the deal through Dreams Unlimited, we did it last March from POFQ. The shuttle picked us up in front of the main building so I would guess it would be the same for POR. The shuttle drop-off/pick-up at Universal was at the bus stops near the parking garage. It was very well-marked. All of the stops are numbered and the driver will tell you the stop number when he/she drops you off. It was a very simple process.

It's really easy to do. We've done it multiple times...through the DU offer.
If you do it through the DU offer, you should remember to bring your printed out info with you, to the bus. You will either make advance reserervations or you can just call Mears the day before to set up your time for pickup. The bus/van will pick you up in the bus area..usually around the DME bus stop area, at each resort.
The bus drops you off in the bus, taxi area at US/IoA. You just walk to the escalators and turn left, towards US/IoA entrance. Reverse it when you're ready to go home. Now...as far as time to go home...you can either reserve your pickup time for your return to POR when you book, or you can wait until mid-afternoon of your US/IoA day. You should then call Mears about 3 hrs prior to the time you want to leave and they will give you the time you need to report to the bus stop.
