POR to Poly for breakfast

I would like to book breakfast reservations at Kona Cafe for around 8:00am while on our trip later in January, but I'm afraid we won't be able to make it there in time by using the Disney shuttles. Last year we had reservations at Boma and ended up having to take a taxi because we didn't realize the buses weren't running yet, but I think that reservation was for around 7:30, possibly even earlier.

What time do the buses start running? I saw on another thread someone said about 6:30, but I'm not sure if that's just in the busy season or not.

Would we be able to get to the Poly resort from Port Orleans Riverside by 8:00am without having to take a taxi?

Yes, you should be able to get a bus from POR to MK somewhere around 6:30-7:00, and the resort monorail from MK to Poly starts up at 7 a.m.

If you got a bus as late as 7:00, you would be at MK by 7:20, which should give you enough time to get to Poly by 8:00.

Honestly? Budget the $20 for a taxi. You will save almost an hour of time, as you can leave your resort as late as 7:30 am. Those extra minutes of sleep are precious during a Disney vacation!

Also, if you plan on using the Disney buses, if you are not on one by 7am you are in trouble. So you need to be at the stop before that, you don't want to show up at 7am just having missed a bus and facing a 20 minute wait for the next one.
