POR to OKW for breakfast?

I was disappointed to discover that there is no table service breakfast at POR, and was thinking that breakfast at Olivia's in OKW sounded nice. We have DDP and I wanted to use a table service at breakfast one day, somewhere close and Olivia's gets great reviews!

But it seems like OKW is close, yet so far! Without a car, should we just call a cab, or try to navigate the buses? It seems like it would be a long, roundabout trip with the buses just to go a little ways down the road!

Advice?

thanks!

Another vote for a cab. Getting from resort to resort, early in the day for breakfast, is tough to do...especially when heading to a resort that doesn't have direct park access (Polynesian, CR, GF, BW, S/D, YC/BC). You can head to a park and use it as a transfer spot...but from POR going to OKW it makes little sense to head to a park and then to OKW from there. A cab is the best way in this situation.

Agreed; I did it last year by going to the DTD hub and it took forever.

However on the way back I did the water taxi and even though I had to do three separate water taxis, it was great because I was in no hurry to get back to the resort.

Yep, getting from Port Orleans to OKW in the morning is almost impossible.

We were staying at POFQ and had breakfast reservations at 10:15 at Olivia's.

We tried the DTD route and did not make breakfast. The DTD hubs do not start running early enough to get you there.

You MIGHT make it if you took a bus to the Studios or Epcot, then waited on an "upstream" bus to get you to OKW, but getting there by way of DTD is not happening.

Also Olivia's has a hard close at breakfast because they don't serve lunch. We had 10:15 ADR, got there at 10:35 and the place was closed down hard and empty.

Three? Why three?

You pick up the first water taxi at the OKW resort. It drops you off only at the West Side.

You boarded a water taxi, bound for SSR, that first stops at the Market Place.

From the Marketplace, you take the water taxi to POR.

Believe it or not, it was actually a lot of fun and very little wait at each stop. It was my last day, so I wasn't in much of a hurry.

When I google directions from POR to OKW, it takes you down a service road thing between the 2 resorts. I wonder if it is walkable or if there are "keep out" signs? It is only a mile. Looking at the satellite it looks very walkable...if they let you on the service road! Might go exploring while we're there...it would be nice if they had more walkways!

I'm sure Disney would not want you back there, but I don't know whether any one would stop you. There are most likely "Service Vehicle Only" signs. If you can get thru, it won't be pretty. :)

That service road is not paved. It's little more than a dirt trail and No, you shouldn't take it.

Your best bet will be a cab. Should not run more than about $5

It is a service road to a maintenance facility and it will be clearly marked as to the fact that pedestrians cannot use it; only authorized vehicles.

Oh well, I thought maybe it would put a new spin on "Adventures by Disney":rotfl: JK, we'll stick with the cab!
