What time do we have to be at the bus stop at POR to get to Ohana breakfast at 7:50? Is it doable? I just read this on another site.

"Note that it is virtually impossible to make an early (before 8 or 8:30 a.m.) Character Breakfast reservation at another resort relying on WDW transportation traveling from Riverside, so keep that in mind when making your vacation plans."

I think you've been reading the wrong web sites.;) Bus service starts around 6:30, and monorail service at 7:00.

About an hour and 10 minutes should do it: up to 20 minute wait for the bus, 20 minute ride to the MK (assuming you're at the first stop in the resort), 10 minute wait for the Resort Monorail, and 20 minute monorail ride from MK to Poly.

So ... I would say 6:40. Maybe 6:30, in case there are any loading delays for the bus.

I would get a taxi right up front at the little area where they unload the buses/me...theyll get you a taxi, its less stressful and will save you sleep time;)

+1

A taxi will only take 10-15 mins compared with 45+ mins for bus/monorail. I can't imagine it would cost more than $10-$20, especially if the cab takes the back way (Bonnet Creek to Vista Blvd to World Dr).

We had a 7:30 breakfast in October during low season and were able to take the bus/monorail. We had to take the bus at 6:40 and got there at alsmost 7:30. We were pretty much the only ones on the bus LOL

That's really easy. It's the ADRs that are around 7am, in other resorts that are hard to get to using Disney transportation. It depends on how 'rushed' you want to be. If it were me, I would be out at the bus stop by 6:30....we tend to not sleep late in WDW, so it's a non-issue. Then, you can be on the first bus to MK. Walk up to the monorail platform and get onboard when the car rolls in. Go to the Polynesian. You'll most likely be early.
If you get to the bus stop, at POR, at 7, you may be okay. But, if you have just missed the MK bus, you may have to wait until 7:20 or so for the next one. Then, it's going to be tight. You can still make it but you'll feel rushed.

Or, just take a cab....if that's the route you choose, be outside, getting a cab , by 7:20ish.

Thank you everyone! I'm thinking the cab idea maybe a good option. I guess we can see how it goes and how quickly everyone gets moving that morning.
