POR to Majic Kingdom

I have on many occasions driven to MK to drop off my family rather than have them waiting for a bus. We have two strollers (two grandchildren) and the hassle of getting on a crowded bus in the morning just isn’t worth it. I drop them off at the parking lot, just past the street light at the head of the MK driveway on the same side of the road as he Contemporary. Many times, I have even pulled into the drive of the Contemporary and turned around and dropped them off on the walkway leading to MK. Many people who stay at the Contemporary walk to MK using the same walkway. Once I drop them off, I drive back to POR and catch the next bus as a single rider. I usually can get right on and I do not mind standing. I am not more than 15 or 20 minutes from catching back up with the family and it saves a lot of hassle and heartache.

The fastest way is to leave POR at the main gate and take a right onto Bonnet Creek Parkway. When you reach the “T” at the end of the road, take a left onto Vista Boulevard which will merge onto World Drive and follow it all the way to MK. Stay out of the left lane and DON’T turn left into MK or else you will be dealing with several buses with drivers who won’t be happy.

This is the fastest way to get there by car, but unless you are just dropping folks off, the prior posts give the fastest ways to get there.

Wow. That's a lot of work! Is POR busier than the other resorts? We've stayed at 4 or 5 different resorts over the last 10 years during all different times of year and have really not had any major problems with Disney buses. We tend to get up pretty early so maybe that has something to so with it.

OP - I'd just take the bus. 9 out of 10 times it works just fine.

Hi cg1200:

Its not that bad. I just don't feel like navigating inside the bus with a double stroller and it makes it easier for the kids. I don't mind it, but I tend to know the system a little better and can move quickly through the crowds on the way back to meet up with the rest of the family. :thumbsup2

You're a madman :worship:! Talk about white glove service. I hope your family appreciates your extra efforts here.

And I hear you re: the double stroller. We had one of them a few years back and it was a a hassle to deal with when the buses were crowded. I think we were at the Boardwalk that year so we wound up walking to/from Epcot and DHS. Very convenient.

If it works for you keep on keepin' on :thumbsup2.
