POR roll call for Sept. 2012

We're booked for POR Royal Guest Room Garden View sept.1-9th with free dining. I'm crazy excited! This is the first time we're staying at a non-value resort. I'm hoping the bus stops to the park entrances are a little closer this time. And I CAN'T WAIT to stay in the new royal guest rooms!!!!!!!!!

September 27 - October 7

It's my first time back at WDW since I left Orlando in 1989 when I was 12 years old, my wife's first time since a 1/2 day at MK back in 1994, and my boys' first time (ages 4 and 2) - ever!

We're staying at POR in AB. Looking forward to it is putting it mildly. My only concern is that I'll love POR so much that we never try out all of the other resorts.

Wow. So many staying in the Royal rooms. I just didn't think that my boys would prefer it, since the oldest is so adverse to princesses.

We are booked 9/6-9/15 with free dining! Can't wait to try POR! We were booked in December but had to change it to September because of so many conflicts. A little sad to miss the Christmas decorations but happy to be going sooner!

FYI for all of us who love POR and have been waiting on the RR to open up for fall "free dine..." THEY DID! I had the chance of booking one when I originally booked our September trip, but I didn't. DD (12) finally admitted that she wanted a RR because it "Wasn't a princess room after all!" Ive been trying for over a month to get one.

Last week I called again...No availability. The CM that day told me that everyone was trying to get the upgrade to a RR + free dine. They weren't available.

Checked the online reg today and THERE IT WAS! Called immediately and changed our reservations! Finally got one today! ***SHUUUSSSHHH...i'm keeping this a secret!****** MY DD WILL BE SO EXCITED UPON ARRIVAL!

HAPPY DANCE! Now...c'mon September 19th!

After booking my RR, I was really excited! Then, I got really excited about selecting ADRs! After making my ADRs though, I lost some of my enthusiasm, it seemed like forever until Sept. However, yesterday, I got MNSSHP tickets, now I am super pumped again! So, here's to the excitement of Disney, and the countdown to magic for all of us POR neighbors!!!!!!!!!!!

8/24 to 9/4 in a preferred room. This is our 4th time at POR and we are looking forward to the new rooms, especially the extra space around the sinks. I still need to book a room only ressie for one night for 8/24 since I booked our air this week and for what I saved by going Friday vs. Saturday, it made it worth staying an extra night (or so I justified it in my head lol). I am hoping that we get to stay in the same room. Does anyone have experience with this?... Checking in the day before and re-checking in the next?

Can't wait!!!

Sept 12-19
First Family trip to WDW and we can not wait as Sept seems so far away. I was last there as a teenager in 1992. Hoping to stay in AB rooms as the mansions due not appeal to us. We will be with a family of 4 so hoping for a little pixie dust that we can get an AB room.

Not at POR, but i did it at Pop Century. We got to keep same room, and just swapped keys and got our new info. Very painless, and done at my leisure.
