Hello!

We are considering the POR Royal Rooms for our vacation. I love that there is a pool right there. It is titled a "Quiet Pool". Is there specific rules for it? Are children permitted to use that pool? I know on some cruises quiet pools are not for children. Also how deep is that pool? Can my daughter jump in? I realize there is no slide etc at the quiet pools.

Thanks!

Children can use the pool but there are no lifeguards.

Magnolia Bend pools (two locations):
Opening hours: 24 hours (no lifeguards)
Minimum depth: 3 ft
Maximum depth: 5 ft

Alligator Bayou pools (three locations):
Opening hours: 24 hours (no lifeguards)
Minimum depth: 3 ft 3 in
Maximum depth: 6 ft

Pool Temperature: 82 degrees (standard at all Walt Disney World Resorts)
Towel pickup is not available at the quiet pools, only at the main feature pool. There is a towel drop location though, so you bring your room towels. Additional towels can be requested by calling housekeeping
The pools are available for use by any guests staying at Port Orleans Riverside or Port Orleans French Quarter for the entire duration of their stay (including their arrival and checkout days)

The big reason it is called a quiet pool is because you won't find any of the pool activities or games going on like you would at the main pool.

Plus, the other reasons the PP mention hold true.

The quiet pools ar one of the best things about moderate hotels. I love going back after a hot day and hitting the QP.

Kids can go in. I grab my towels from the main pool. It's named quiet pool because there are no games or slide there.

I don't think anyone is allowed to jump in the pool. Or maybe it was just no diving. I can't remember what the exact rules were.
I was doing my laundry and reading while I was there and no one else was but a couple sleeping in the lounge chairs.

Thanks for all of the quick responses!! Sounds like a perfect spot for us to relax! My daughter will be 8 when we plan on going to POR!

And you aren't expected to be quiet there, except maybe at night after hours.
