POR questions???

We just made reservations for 8/28-9/1-loved it so much in Feb, we had to come back (without the 2 DD's and DS!). This time we are going to be at POR. We requested a king bed room. Where do we want to be-we're not concerned with being near a pool, but would prefer a quiet, romantic atmosphere. Also, which bus stop is the first to be picked up during the route? When we were at POFQ, I noticed a lot of the POR guests had to stand en route to their destinations. Thanks for your help.

P.S. Does Riverside serve beignets (my DH is already craving them!)

During my trip last week at POFQ we noticed the bus drivers mixing up the routes a little. The first stop is usually the main stop at the check-in lobby area. When I've stayed at POR I stayed in the Bayou section building 14 which was very close to a quiet pool, and the main area and a short walk to the main bus stop.

But on another note, when the busses would stop at the other bus stops it didn't seem like anyone was ever there but it was very slow last week!

When the rehab of Port Orleans was first mentioned, the subject of beignets came up in one of the threads. I ate some at POR in October and loved them! However, back on that thread (I can't remember which one) someone mentioned that they had stopped serving them at Riverside recently and only serve them at FQ. However, we are all hoping that they will be served at POR now, at least while FQ will be closed. Anyone eaten one at POR in the last month or so?

We loved Acadian House. We had a corner room around the back on our Honeymoon trip and it seemed SO private. We never saw anybody around our room and it was only steps to a bus stop (can't remember which one) and a short walk to the main building.
