POR Questions kinda answered

I'm starting to get worried. We have ressies for POR June8th. I think I'm going to make some phone calls today. We have 5 in our family and there aren't too many options for us unless we pay dearly for it. I hope my Disney vacation doesn't turn into a Disney nightmare!

A Mickey Fan,

You need to go to the following post under resorts:

Busy! Sold Out! Dreaded Call! And Also Refill Mugs?

i'm going to por june 11-16 to celebrate my old college roommate's and my 25th birthday. it took us forever to decide on por. i love por and she has never stayed there before and she is really excited. both of us have been very stressed out w/our jobs, school, family, etc. so we are looking forward to this trip. now i'm stressing myself out that we may need to move. i appreciate everyone posting what they have heard. i know everyone is getting different answers but i like to at least have an idea has to what could possibly happen. i have a friend that works at wl. maybe he knows something. i think that sometimes those who work in the resorts know more than those who work at cro. i'll post if i find anything out.

Hello, this is my first time posting on this sight. Thought I would share what I have heard. I am going 5/29-6/4 to POR. I called yesterday to see what was going on. I was told that they are definitely doing renovations in bayou and magnolia sections. There will be some buildings closed and there are people being relocated (not everyone). He said at this time, the amenities (pool ,marina etc) will not be affected, however he said he could not guarantee this would not change in two weeks. Basically, I guess I will wait another ten days and try calling again unless I have been called before then. This is our first time staying on sight, so I have to say I am pretty bummed. If anyone hears any more, please let us know.

Well, we are going in October and as we need two rooms we are between CBR and POR. I guess after reading this thread we are going to go with CBR because I have heard good things about both and don't want to worry about relocating. Any opinions? Would anybody book POR and hope that nothing is disturbed? Any opinions welcome.
