POR or CBR?

4 adults and a 1 year old in the room. Going in August. What would you choose? And why? We would be getting the cheapest of the rooms at either of these places.

ETA: More specific questions: are the rooms (the cheapest ones) about the same size at both resorts? And the bathrooms, too? Is the theming in 1 more "fun?" If we don't pay extra for a pirate theme.

POR...... cuz I love it there, so peaceful and quaint. I like the mansions area the best, facing the water.

My 2 favorite resorts!! Love them both! We do give a slight edge to CBR for larger & Disney themed rooms and a better pool, but both are fantastic! There are links to my reviews of both in my signature if you want to take a look. Both include lots of info and tons of pics. Maybe that will help you decide!

We stayed at POR last year and LOVED it!!! It never seemed over crowed and was very lush. Food court was very good and never had to wait long for breakfast. We are going again in Aug. and we wanted to try something new so we are trying CBR, I hope it's as good as nice!

I see you added this since I responded. . . The rooms are CBR are slightly bigger at 340 sq ft vs 314 at POR (and the rest of the mods).

For more fun theming -- CBR is brighter and the standard rooms have a slight Nemo theme to them (bedspread & wall border). POR's rooms are nice as well, just not as bright & fun. There are room pics in my reviews.

I have stayed at CBR twice, pre and post the recent renovation. We loved our stays at CBR. You will have the maximum number of people in the room and the extra space at CBR will matter. Also notice the extra storage space and even the full bathroom counter. Those little extras can make your stay more comfortable with 4 adult and baby.

The resort is beautiful, nice outdoor spaces, full food court, dedicated buses. An easy place to stay.

I've stayed at both and personlly like POR better. You should choose the resort based on your preferences for theming. I like the boat to DTD from POR and the beautiful landscaping. The food court is nice and the pool area is very pretty. Even our quiet pool area was beautiful.

I've stayed at both and liked them both. I can't say that our CBR room really felt bigger. The full counter with under-counter sinks at CBR was much appreciated to spread out all our stuff. My DH never wants to stay at a mod again due to the double beds, though.

I have stayed at both and they are both wonderful! POR is our favorite, however with a one year old, the zero entry pool area at CBR might be a perfect fit. And while that extra 26 square feet of space isn't a huge deal, every bit counts with four adults in the room!

They are both very well themed. We love POR for its laid back feel and the boat to DTD. The theme of the old south is very well done. CBR has the tropical theme (although POR feels pretty tropical too) and the lake area which is beautiful. Another thing about CBR that is nice is that you have some really nice views of the high up fireworks of Illuminations.

Again, for my family with two teens POR is our best fit. But if I had a one year old, the new pool at CBR would be hard to pass up.

Either way you cannot go wrong!
