POR or ASM family suite

We are considering a trip with a larger group for May 2008. We are a family of 6 (w/ a 2yr old ). It was recommended to me to stay in Port Orleans Riverside, with the trundle bed. Looking at resort info and comparing prices(always an issue for a family of 6 :) ), I think we would be more comfortable in a family suite at All Star Music. The pictures of the suites make them look like they have much more space. And a second bathroom(never a bad thing!!)

The pool at POR was mentioned as a plus.
The bus travel from ASM was mentioned as a negative.
We do not need to travel back and forth to the room all day , maybe just back to the room in the late afternoon to change for dinner.

So do I break from the group(not a group of close friends or anything, just a group traveling together for discounted rate---for lack of a clearer way to explain) and stay in ASM (with more space for the $) or do I have us squish into a smaller room?

Also, if staying at an All Star Resort, are they included in the resort extended park hours??

Any experience or suggestions???

Thanks so much

will Disney even allow your 6 in a single room?

I compare two rooms (my kids are adult size now) and we like ASmu price for the family suite it's only a few dollars more than 2 rooms at Asmu and less than 2 rooms at POR

I guess technically we would be 5 paying and 1 under 3.
I'm continuing to read and really think the Family Suite is a great option for us.
I guess we could use connecting rooms, too.

We are a family of 5 and are staying at ASMu next month. IN the past one of my children would stay in a connecting room with MIL and FIL. since they aren't going on this trip we will be all together, but like the idea of having our own room. I would consider connecting rooms at PORS but not one room. they are not that big and you'll have a port a crib for the 2yr old, I'm guessing. I can't even imagine how long it would take to get ready to go anywhere with 6 people and 1 bathroom. If a couple of kids need to go to sleep and the other 2 want to watch a bedtime story it would be possible with either 2 connecting rooms or the ASMu.

We are a family of 5 and we stayed at POR June 22 - 30. We used the trundle bed. I cannot imagine having to set up a portable crib in the room too. It probably can be done but you will be very very tight. We felt tight with our family of 5 (kids ages 2, 6 & 7).

I believe you would be better off in an All Stars Music suite.

Please see my info thread about All Star Family Suites vs. POR.

I was told that if you stay at por with 6, including the baby you get to stay at the alligator buyou... i have no idea what those rooms look like, but the lady at the front desk said that was the only place that could accomodate that many people at por.

We are also a family of 6. We are staying at POR-AB this trip. We went with the free dinning plan and the All Star Suites were not included with that special.

I am bringing a small toddler blow up bed just incase we need some extra sleeping space.

I know it will be tight but I deal with 1 bathroom at home. We can tough it out for 8 nights lol
