Do you think it would be worth it to upgrade to a water view in Magnolia Terrace or Oak Manor? We requested Magnolia Terrace and my parents requested Oak Manor (we have to stay separately because they smoke and some of us have major allergy issues). This our 3rd time to Disney this year due to great AP rates and will be taking it in a little slower this time due to the stamina of our 18 mo. old, so I figure we'll be around the resort a little more often. Just curious to see what you thought...

Thanks!

There are 3 floors. The corner rooms are special because they have 2 windows :)

When we went a few years ago we had the ground floor room at Magnolia Terrace and our window looked out over a beautiful garden.

It is a gorgeous resort, you will love it!

Love the mansion section. They are three floors or two floors with garden, parking lot, pool or river views. We had a ground floor, river view in Oak manor one time and it was wonderful.

I too loved the mansion section. In 1999 (when it was still Dixie Landings) we stayed in Magnolia Terrace, on the third floor, in a corner room with a view of the river - it was very nice. As others said, there are three floors, and depending on which side of the builing your room is on, you could overlook the river, the pool, the parking lot, or garden areas. If you have standard view, you will likely face the gardens or the parking lot. If you have a water view, this could be either a view of the pool or the river. No matter what room you get, the resort is very pretty. Take a stroll along the walkway by the river and takein the beautiful scenery!

We stayed at Parterre Place in the Magnolia Bend section in December. Our room was on the first floor, and overlooked the courtyard with the flowers and fountains. It was a beautiful room....very quiet and relaxing... It was so peaceful to sit in the courtyard and watch the boats go by.
