We will be at POR in exactly 4 weeks :cheer2: . We are on the dining plan and expect to eat a few cs breakfasts and lunches at the resort. What items have you found to be excellent or a must-try at this resort?

Saw this got lost in the shuffle - does anyone have suggestions? I'd appreciate it.

We stayed there in Aug. and wanted to try the make your own pasta ( you pick your pasta, choose sauce, veggies, chicken, or shrimp). We just weren't at the resort at dinner time. I've heard it's really good and we plan on trying it in March! I've had their breakfast platters and they're delicious.

Any other questions about the resort that I can help you with?:surfweb:

We were there in Sept and really enjoyed the breakfast at Boatwrights. The banana stuffed french toast was awesome, and the kiddos really enjoyed their Mickey pancakes.:goodvibes I have heard recently that they are no longer serving breakfast though. :confused3 It's really a shame, as they always seemed to be popular at breakfast.

We really didn't eat much from the food court other than cereal and milk, and the occasional breakfast plate for DS. He really liked it, but I think it was just the same general breakfast plate with eggs and stuff that the rest of the resort CS places offer. Good luck! :goodvibes

I like the make-your-own salad station at the food court. The cast member actually makes the salad for you as you say what you'd like on it. I had a few salads there and they were all good!

The make your own pasta is really fabulous! We ate it as our "pasta dinner" the night before the Half Marathon, and found it to be delicious, and cooked just as we liked it. You can really tailor your meal to your individual taste, and the options for add-ins are plentiful and interesting -- I particularly liked the pine nuts.

I'm already looking forward to it next January!

I know what you mean, we loved Boatwrights for breakfast. Even if we were not staying at POR, we would always make it over there at least one morning just to eat there. Their banana stuffed french toast was soooooooooo good. As for the foodcourt we have only eaten there 1 time and the food was typical foodcourt type food...however the make your own pasta sounds intriguing to me, I may have to try that sometime :goodvibes

We stayed at POR in September and ate several breakfasts and lunches in the foodcourt. We did the make your own salad and make your own pasta, which were both great. Only complaint was from MIL regarding the sandwich on focaccia- too much bread. They also had some great desserts to choose from. Breakfasts were standard fare, eggs, pancakes, french toast, can't really mess that up. Lines sometimes seemed long at breakfast, but they move quickly.

Just an FYI, saw on another thread that Boatwrights is closing for breakfast effective 2/22.

Dont miss the Beignets over at POFQ. The omelets and yogert parfaits are very good. For a change in Breakfast head over the Poly's Capt Cooks and get the Tonga Toast.
The build your own pasta & salad meals are great. But you just cant beat the carving station deal.
When you get tired with PO food courts head over to Pops it is a good one. They offer alot of options and have daily specials.
