I read that POR has a pasta station in their food court where you can choose the pasta, sauce, and toppings. Has anyone done this before? Can anyone tell me what kinds of each thing are offered?

Pasta type - spaghetti, linguine (fettucine?), penne
Sauce - tomato, cream/alfredo, pesto?
Protein - shrimp, chicken... think that was all?
Toppings - prosciutto, spinach, mushrooms, sundried tomato, onion?, peppers?, there were a bunch but don't remember all of them

We made pasta a couple of times, it was delicious and fresh/hot - but huge! The first time we each ordered one but it was waaaay too much food so the second time we shared. It's served with a breadstick.

You walk up to the order-taker, he/she will mark the box with what type of sauce/protein, and then you point, they load the box with your toppings. The chefs then start the pasta with the right sauce and protein, and toss in the stuff from your box and cook, then scoop the whole thing back into your box and put a breadstick on top, and you pick it up at the end of the counter.

How much does it cost and is it in the food court?

Thanks so much. That's exactly what I wanted to know.

When we were there last week, we used a counter service meal credit for ours, but I *think* it was about $11.99.

I have to agree with the other posters on this one.....it was extremely yummy, wonderfully easy for each of our picky family members to get exactly what they wanted, and HUGE. My 13 year old son who can normally eat a day's worth of food at one sitting couldn't even finish his. DH was just about rolling away from the table afterward.

Highly recommended for food quality, and a GREAT use of a CS credit for those on the dining plan. :thumbsup2

wow! I never knew this existed! Will have to try it when we stay at PoP for our next trip!

I am supposed to make a point of telling y'all that there are olives too.

I am being accused of purposely suppressing that information/memory just because i hate them.
There are/were artichoke hearts too, and while i actually like those i just forgot about them.

And yes, we used CS credits but it seems like it was in the $10-12 range.

I would also highly recommend the POR pasta bar. My DD and I ate stuff from there a couple of times in Sept. The price was only $9.99 then, so maybe they raised it, but it is well worth the money. I got shrimp with the pasta thinking there would be 2 or 3 of them, but it was actually closer to 10 or 12 good size shrimp with a ton of pasta.
