POR - coffee filters

I will be visiting WDW in June with my family. We are staying at POR. I was hoping to be able to make coffee in the room (plan to eat breakfast in the room).

I know the rooms have coffee makers. Are they conducive to bringing filters and coffee or can they only work with those packets of coffee (already in a closed up filter bag)? If it can work, can anyone tell me the shape (cone, etc) and sizes of filters that work? I know I could get the refilleable mug and use that to get coffee but I have no idea how far away I’ll be away from the food court and I do drink a lot of coffee.

I tried doing a search on the forum to see if it might have been answered previously but never could get any results back.

I appreciate any feedback I can get. Thank you.

We've stayed at CSR during our past two trips (2005 & 2008) but I would imagine the coffee makers are the same.

I've used generic "cup basket" filters and they have worked fine.

You want to get the 4 cup size of flat bottom filters.

If they are like all the other coffee makers I have had at WDW, leave plenty of time for them to drip when using your own coffee and filters. It took 20 minutes to brew 4 cups of coffee.

Thanks for the info. That's brutally slow for a 4 cup coffee maker. At least I now know what to expect.

You know "not" to drink the nescafe coffee they serve at WDW, I suppose.
