POR bus question

I read here and other forums that busses stop at POFQ then go to POR South bus stop, but the information seems to be at least 6 years old. Is this still true?
How easy is it to walk from the mansion (non royal room bldgs.) to POFQ?

It seems to depend on the park, time of day, and time of year. Sometimes each resort has a separate bus, other times they share.

We were there in May just prior to Summer idiocy (I mean Summer Season) and all the buses were combined including MK at close - POFQ first, then POR South - West - North - East and go.

Never stayed in a high season so I don't know if they ever split the buses

We did POFQ past May too.... First bus trip stopped at POR but after that first day, we never stopped there ( or all 4 stops in POR ) again ...

But when we did, POFQ was always first, we'd be loaded and then hit POR with a full bus for what....

It sounds like you're trying to get from the mansions at POR to POFQ.

Buses to DTD always make all 4 stops at POR, and then go to POFQ. The stop order is POR West, North, East, South, then POFQ. DTD buses start running about 8:30 a.m., or 1 hour before TL opens, which ever is earlier. Be sure to tell the bus driver that you are going to FQ; otherwise, the stop may be skipped if the bus fills up.

If your room is close to the East depot and you are traveling in the a.m., most buses from the East depot to Epcot or DHS also stop at FQ from 1 hour before park opening until around 11:30 a.m. Ask the driver to make sure. If not, wait for a DTD bus.

Going the other way, before 8 a.m. and after 11 a.m., most buses to Epcot, DHS, and DAK stop at POFQ first, and then make all the stops at POR. Between 8 & 11 a.m., you'll have to be very lucky to find a bus from POFQ to POR.

After 10:30 a.m., you can also ride the boat between POFQ & POR South depot in either direction.

Bear in mind, bus routes are subject to change at any time without notice.

I can't help with the bus question but I can with the other.

When we stayed in the mansion section of Riverside versus Alligator Bayou, it took us about 10 -15 to walk to the French Quarter side of Port Orleans. It is a beautiful walk along the river that connects to Downtown Disney area. We very much enjoyed the walk. Enjoy!!

Actually it was 2 separate questions. I should have added--if I want to make sure I sit down, should I walk to POFQ and how long of a walk is it/easy to read signs to get there?

In the a.m., buses to MK start at West and may be full when they reach South Depot; buses to DAK start at South and may fill up before they reach East.
