POR Boatwrights refurbishment

Hi everyone,

I was just checking out the rehab and closure list since I'm leaving for WDW in a week! And I noticed that Boatwrights will be closed May 27-June 15.

But months ago I made an ADR for breakfast for the 11th of June.

Now it's not a huge deal since we were thinking of not even doing it anymore. Not decided yet. But I'm still a little confused about how I could have made an ADR for a restaurant that was to be closed or why those with ADR's were not notified. I understand that Boatwrights isn't a hugely popular restaurant, but still. An ADR is an ADR.

Wow, we have reservations there next week! Thanks for the heads up. I am going to call tomorrow a.m. and see if I can change ressies to something else.

Where did you find the list? The only one I could find said they will be closed the following month. I hope it's not next week because I wanted to eat there. Any of our fellow Dissers know for sure?

I read it right here on the DIS. I actually followed a link myself to the rehab/closures section. I was pretty surprised myself because I had been checking it periodically to see what else would be down for our trip.

Oh no! We have a ressie for 6/9 there also. I'm on may way to calling now.
Why do you think they would have taken reservations if it was going to be closed?

I just got off the phone with disney dining and they have no information that it will be closed. They even have availability open for the night we will be there. I hope this CM was correct. She was very pleasant and helpful. I'd hate to get there and not have a ressie for our first night!!!

That is strange. I'm gonna go check the WDW official site.

Like I said, it's not a huge deal for us because we were thinking of canceling it anyway, but I'm thinking a lot of people would be put out if their dinner or breakfast ADRs were not valid.

ETA: Ok, I just checked the Disney site and could find nothing. All Ears Net as well as another accurate Disney info board also posted nothing about this rehab. Sounds to me like it will definitely be open. Maybe they are refurbishing the floors but not necessarily closing the restaurant?
