If we stay at POR, must we walk to POFQ to catch the boat to DTD? I thought that I had read from someone's post that the 11:00 am launch was from POFQ. Is this correct?

Thanks! :flower:

The boat leaves from POR first, stops at POFQ, and goes to DTD. Of course, the route is reversed on the return boat.

and also I would add that the boats do run back and forth all day with the last return boat from DTD somewhere around 10:30 in the evening (at least it was when we were there). :goodvibes

I'm pretty sure the boats run earlier than 11am because we went to POFQ from POR for Easter festivities and we considered taking the boat at 9:30 am or so. I don't think it was just running between the resorts, but I guess it could be.

we love riverside and go there alot... :cheer2: :cheer2:

the pick ups are about every 10-15 minutes or so. They have several boats that are making trips all day long. so, you don't have to worry about waiting for the boat that just left to come back to get on it. just wait for the next one, which is about 10 - 15 minutes.

at night, this is a very peaceful ride. dh and i try to ride this at night, even if we weren't planning to shop around at dtd. :cloud9:

as the other poster said, it starts at por, then pofq, then right behind house of blues and cirque du soliel (sp?). if you are wanting to go to the market place where rainforest cafe, world of disney, christmas store, etc are. you get off at the stop behind house of blues, wait for the marketplace boat. it will take you over there. otherwise it is about a 20 - 30 min walk to the other side of the area. then you have to take that boat back to house of blues to catch the resort boats.

good luck, and have fun!

I would just like to add that the boat to DTD was one of the reasons we choose to stay at POR again for our 1st Anniversary. The boat ride is very peaceful, the captian will give you some Disney background on the ride, and it really does beat the bus. Although, you do end up hearing the same stories quite a few times, it is still very nice. It's nice to be able to have another form of transportaion besides bus.

Wow! I didn't know that. THANK YOU!! I thought the boat went to the Marketplace. Glad I read this.

With the rainy season approaching, just be advised that the boats do not run if there is high wind or lightening. There is always a bus as an alternative to bad weather.
