DH & I have pro-ed and con-ed ourselves to death trying to pick the best time to go to WDW next year. :headache: I think we have finally decided to switch our early-March CSR res for an early-June POR res. The major deciding factor was DD's 17th b-day princess: and her love of antebellum architecture. Also, I think the Royal Guest Rooms look absolutely enchanting for princesses of all ages! DH is not as thrilled for some reason :confused3 DD on the other hand, saw a picture of the rooms on allears not too long ago, and she thought they were "awesome!" :cloud9:

Any tips? I am seriously thinking of booking a river view room. Any thoughts on this view vs. others?

I really want to make this trip special for our DD. She has begged us for years to take her to WDW for her birthday, but we have never considered it until now. What Disney-like treatments and/or surprises can I have waiting for her in our room upon arrival? Any ideas for this beautiful 17-year-old princess of mine? We will arrive ON her actual birthday.

TIA!:thumbsup2

The RR's are in Oak Manor and Parterre Place; I have had some of my favorite rooms located in both of those buildings.

Oak Manor has some nice rooms overlooking the pool; while Parterre Place has better locations with riverview rooms. The other rooms can be some of the more remote rooms at the resort.

My favorite was the riverview room at Parterre Place and I was on the corner, so I had a beautiful view of the river - the stair was blocking the next room's view - just about 30' away. The sound of the water taxi coming back at night was heavenly.

if you could go to one of the disney deluxe hotels maybe the poly because of th view of the MK. maybe get the view of the castle that would be wonderful and a nice surprise. Have the room mickey baloons and some surprise on her bed. of cours get the birthday pin from town sq and maybe a birthday mickey hat to waesr. plan a surprise special birthday dinner at a place of your choice. we did once it was costly but so special the rest on the 15 th floor of the Contp. they put mickey sprinke beads on the table. afterward we went outside on the 15 th floor to watch the wishes fireworks so nice. hope this helps.:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:pixiedust:
