Popularity of your kids name..

Jackson was 83 on the list in 1999 (the year he was born) in 2008 it was 32, which makes sense because a lot of Jacksons I run into are younger than mine.

Christopher was 6th for the year he was born.

It was weird - I never looked at the list before we picked a name. I didn't know any kids named Christopher. Now there seem to be tons of them.

Same with my kids. I never heard their names around, but as soon as they hit school age, we met a lot. My poor oldest was known as Alex V. until high school!

My DD - Brianne - was 317 in 1987 and never got much higher.
She's had to contend with being called Brianna (VERY popular) her whole life. A much different name to me.

My name - Linda - was 3rd the year I was born!:bride:

DD (Tess) was ranked at #563 the year she was born (it's now ranked in the 800's  ). Her name is just Tess, not Theresa, not Tessa, just Tess. I know it's unusual, but we like it and it suits her :thumbsup2

DS (Daniel) was ranked #12. His name is always ranked pretty high. In fact there was another kid that went to our pediatrician who had the exact same name, but unrelated to us!

Oh, well, my popularity is plummeting. No friends for me :rotfl: My name - #14 the year I was born and now - 539 :sad2:- What were my parents thinking

DH was on the other hand 267 and is now 893. Of course, we've never ever met another MAN with his name. I'm not really sure what his parents were thinking.

DS#1 - Cameron - 49th in 1996 and 53rd in 2008
DS#2 - Keith - 222 in 2000 and 314 in 2008 - but he is the only Keith in his school of 1,300 kids and we're told most people use it as a middle name.
DS#3 - Scott - 158 the year he was born and 322 in 2008.

Eve: 655! I was suprised that what sounds to me like such an everyday name is so low on the list.

I love the name Lydia :lovestruc

Jennifer was 18th when she was born; now, 13 years later it's 85th :)

Awww!! I just looked at the top 20 names of my daughter's birth year, and her's is #18 for girls, and her boyfriend's name is #18 for boys!

Michael was #1 in 1986. My name is Marilyn. It was #41 the year I was born (many moons ago) and is #569 now:scared1:

Well I'm boring! :rotfl: All my kids are in the top 30 for their birth years!! Actually it's not that surprising. I've spent my life having to spell my name because my Mom spelled it in an unusual way. I vowed that when I had kids, they would all have "normal" names spelled the usual way!

My kids names are all in the top 100 but not too far. They are classic but not super popular names. I have a Caroline and an Amelia.

My older dd was 807 in 1995, in 2008 it's 482

Middle girl was 104 in 1998, now is 446

My son has alays been top 20

Erin was born in 2001, ranked #60 and has slipped to #164.

Austin was born in 1993, ranked #26 and is now at #55.

My oldest's name has never been in the top 1000.

My youngest's wasn't until 2006 (he was born in 2002) and then it was #889.

DS - Spelling it the way I do it is #671 the year he was born....but spelling it the way everyone else I know does it was #9. His name is Austyn. I am actually shocked the way I spell it is even in the top 1000...didn't expect to see that at all.

I only knew one kid named Austin at the time and now there are usually at least one other in all of his classes and on his sports teams. I work with 2 ladies who have Austin's the same age as mine.

DD - Kasey was #359 the year she was born.

I'm very surprised at my dd's. Aspen ranked between 500-700 the last 10 years. WOW. I wanted a name that was different. Of course I hate the crude people that ask my 12yo if she was conceived in Colorado. UMMMM no we named her after the tree as she was conceived in a dr's office in Florida:lmao:

Abigail #14 in 2000 been in the top 10 since

Allison #44 in 2002 and been around there since

Aidan # 43 in 2005 and is on the decline :thumbsup2 at #59 last year.. although my cousin is naming her baby to be Aiden he'll be born in Oct

Anthony # 7 2008 dont know about this year... been in the top 10 for the last 10 years
