Popular things you just don't get..

oooohhhhh I thought of some more too ....

people writing in text speak .... missing out all the vowels and using numbers eg. cu l8ter etc (probably did that wrong)
thongs ... what are they all about, talk about uncomfortable.
cash for gold adverts.
and I have to agree on the pierced babies and bad tattoos and low slung pants .... yuck.

How could I forget babies wearing jewellery :scared1: why would you want to inflict pain on a little one to pierce their ears :sad2:

Tattoos - I have to agree, I just don't know why you want a blurry dolphin on your ankle:confused3

Ricky Gervais - agree.

Graham Norton - the man seems to have made a ton of money just calling out different names for the male anatomy!
some tattoos do suck, mines doesnt ofcourse;)

I agree with everything except thongs.he he.

OMG you are the first ever person i have come across who doesn't like beans either, nobody understands how i can't stand them or cheese

I think i may have a phobia against them though as i gag whenever i see them

ditto on this - can't stand either.

The one that I find confuses most people is the fact that I love yorkshire puddings, but I can't stand pancakes. The amount of people who try to argue I should like them both because they're the same ingredients and mixture

I am definitely with you on the thongs and the Cash 4 Gold adverts Sarah :thumbsup2

And I agree about piercings on little kids. When DD had her ears pierced a couple of years ago (she was 14 and had only just plucked up courage to get them done), there was a couple in the shop with two very young kids (probably about 18 months and 3 years). The 18-month old didn't know any different but the 3 year old was screaming and crying, begging her parents not to put that thing on her ears and they held her down and let the woman in the shop do it. If I had been the shop assistant, I think I would have refused. Talk about child cruelty - and for what

If I didn't like beans my diet would be in tatters.

Beans and Pies are all I eat - totally exaggerated in order to provoke a response but I do like them a lot.

Tomatoes too.

I can't believe more people haven't said Garlic, the smell on the breathe is just awful. At least beans don't smell..........well at least that part of the body doesn't. ;)

DH refers to the cash for gold ads as "fences r us" :rotfl:

Whoa, yeah the tomato thing. Tinned or fresh cooked tomatoes are pretty much a staple of my diet but I hate raw tomatoes! Unless they are in my Dad's tomato, coriander and red onion salad. But otherwise, I tend to pick the tomatoes out of my salad, my best friend used to know me so well that she would eat the tomatoes of my plate when we were out. I'm laughing at the kids with pierced ears thing; in my Dad's culture they pierce your ears at birth and ask the mum if they want one hole in each ear or two or even three, all my family on his side couldn't believe I was the grand old age of 5 when I got mine done and that I only had one set until I was a teenager (and yes it was absolutely my decision to get my ears pierced as a little girl, I was driving my mum mad :thumbsup2).

You sound like me! :rotfl: I was around 5/6 too but I still only have one set. I did make the misguided choice of a piercing at the top of my ear aged 15, although I haven't worn anything in it for about eight years!

Okay mine would be:

Uggs. Sorry, but I'd really never wear them. Ever.

Clubland/dancey music. I sound like an old person, but I swear it all sounds the same. I like music that actually means something and doesn't have the same boom-boom-boom background beat.

Parties. Okay, I really sound like an old person now ahah. Tbh, I'd rather be sitting at home with a mug of hot chocolate watching my Friends box set or reading a book than throwing up in some randomer's house from drinking a load of horibble-tasting stuff. xD

Soap operas. They're just annoying.

Jaffa Cakes. They taste horibble. xD

Text language. Okay, if it's to save space on a text then fine. Bt typn lyk dis all ova facebook and msn gts rele anying nd i cnt evn undastnd it hlf da tym. I really hate it. D:

Farmville. I really hate the way some people go on about Farmville. It's a game, get over it.

Coffee. Ew, it tastes disgusting.

Reality TV shows. Boringgggg.

There used to be an advert for a shorthand course that went something like this ...

if u cn rd th mssg u cn gt a gd jb

Looks like every teenager could get a job now ... I just don't know how valuable shorthand is as a skill any more.

Lol, I can understand it.
Y'know since like 80% of my friends type like that. >.<
It's just extra effort to translate it into normal English haha.

Twitter- too much information
Florence and the machine - huh?
susan Boyle - really just don't like the woman - sorry
expensive mobile phones - after all as long as it does the job, what's the big deal?
Getting drunk - I'm not a party popper but don't understand how drinking until your ill is fun.
