Popular things you just don't get..

Ohmigosh, how did I forget tattoos?

When I was young only old sailors or convicts had tattoos. The only women who had them were gypsies. Now I am a saddo because I don't have any. I have to hide the fact that I hate them.

:rotfl2: I have 2.

Definitely agree with the crocs as a day to day shoe...

I do actually own a pair, but I only use them for one very specific purpose - they are my "flying shoes". I basically wear them when I need to take a plane somewhere and I'm expecting to have to remove my shoes, because it's that little bit quicker and easier because I can just flick them off :thumbsup2

I also agree with quite a few others - tattoos, reality tv, "italian chain restaurants" (i LOVE italian restaurants that do it "right" and include meat dishes - I just hate the ones that define italian as Pizza, Pasta and nothing else), getting wasted...

There's probably a good few more as well :lmao:

I must say I love my Uggs.

Same here, practically live in my Ugg's :lovestruc

Ok mine would probably be:
- Harry Potter....overhyped
- Primark....don't understand how people can get full outfits from here
- Crocs.....wouldn't be caught dead in

Damn, I can't think of anything else right now!

I love Ugg boots and Crocs and practically live in them both throughout the year

However Im not into

Facebook, Twitter etc (Msn, texting - yes)
Tattoos
Harry Potter
Twilight - although DD likes it
Big Brother

and Im sure theres loads more

Agree with so much of this, we must all be linked by the love of disney gene!

Mine would be
Ricky Gervais - I just don't get him
Small children with earings - Why would you do that?!
primark - nothing ever fits
Sale shopping - Can't stand an untidy shop
X Factor -Blah
Big Brother - Blah Blah
Very Very low slung trousers- Why oh why do we need to see your pants?

and probably many more I can't think of right now ....

I couldn't agree more with the above! Children with earrings just makes me cringe, it's so cruel!

A couple more for me -

Tattoos - just not for me at all!
Cigarettes...eugh...horrid things! I cannot understand why anyone would wish to inhale smoke by choice? :confused3
Pandora Bracelets - very expensive for what they are :scared1:
Clothes shopping - cannot stand it if I have to find something for ME, shopping for others doesn't bother me at all.
The way in which younger people 'write' or 'type' these days, goodness me, trying to decipher some of what they're saying is very hard work!

I'm sure there's more, but I cannot think at present.

Well reminded - another I fully agree on. I can understand why it's used in text messages where if you go over a certain number of letters then you get charged more, but there's no reason for using it on a normal computer where you've got no such limits...

Baked Beans - how can a bean covered in tomato sauce actually taste nice???

more from me too

celeb fitness videos,
heat magazine
Matrix films
David Beckham, ugh all those tattoos:eek:
chick lit books, the women characters always seem so annoying and neurotic.
Spelling traditional names using "modern" spellings, changing the vowels. it seems like Y is now also interchangable with vowels. eg "Jymes" "Mychel" or "Yzabel",!!:confused3

I agree with cigerettes, the smell
primark, my mum drags me in and I hate it.
I don't understand little ones with earings too.

I don't know what a dongle is.:confused3

Until last Christmas, I was still using a walkman.:rotfl:

How could I forget babies wearing jewellery :scared1: why would you want to inflict pain on a little one to pierce their ears :sad2:

Tattoos - I have to agree, I just don't know why you want a blurry dolphin on your ankle:confused3

Ricky Gervais - agree.

Graham Norton - the man seems to have made a ton of money just calling out different names for the male anatomy!

Joe Mcelderry (or whatever he is called from X Factor), his voice is nothing special.

According to someone I worked with recently it is because they are to young to understand and remember the pain when they are young and having to care for them clean them etc. So saving the little one from pain when they are older!!! I don't see the logic in this. They didn't seem realise that the baby can make there own descion when there a teen if they want to go through the pain or not!

In addition to the points about the pain, not every girl actually wants their ears pierced, so deciding for them takes that choice away from them...
