On rides such as ToT, RNRC, and Exped. Everest, can you go with your party all the way up to getting on and then go to the exit if you aren't riding?

Yes, you can do that.

Just make sure to tell the CM that you don't want to ride and they will show you to the exit door.

My husband does this all the time. We call it the "chicken out" door ;)

I think this is a great idea if your not a big fan of "thrill" rides. People decide not to ride all the time so its not a big deal. When you get to the end just let the Cast Member know you have decided not to ride, they will show/escort you to the exit where you can join your party as they exit the ride.

The quenes to the rides are almost as interesting and as much fun as the rides themselves as they tell the story of the attraction. So even if you don't ride I highly recommend you do this at least once

Yes, of course. Just tell an attendant that you wouldn't like to ride, and they will escort you to the end, where you can wait for your party.

I do this frequently with DD who likes thrill rides, while I do not. If the wait time is 20 min or less, she will get in line by herself sometimes (and will talk off the ears of those around her!! I've witnessed her getting off of rides giving "touring tips" to a family she met - more than once!), if the line is longer, I will generally wait with her and take the CHICKEN EXIT!
