My mother never bought them when I was little-she said they were crap. I only buy them maybe 2x a year-but then-they are frosted. They are crap and I just can't justify feeding my kids crap to often.

This thread is pretty funny, as I was sick last week with the flu and didn't get out for groceries, by the end of the week there was slim pickings in the house and I made myself a pop tart (my son's) I had never had one before - it was pretty darn tasty, strawberry frosted variety.

Only frosted. My mom never bought Pop-Tarts for us growing up, which always made me sad. Oh, and I have never consumed a toasted Pop-Tart. I know that's how they're supposed to be, but I just can't do it.

S'mores or chocolate chip, raw, and rarely for breakfast.
I will readily admit to using them as dinner with a piece of fruit on nights I'm trekking into school. That and when I put in overtime at work, there's always a box around in my desk. My mother limited us when we were young. As adults my brother an I can both be dependent on them.

I remember when I was in college the Catholic Chaplain doing a sermon about PopTarts. The jist was a favorite professor of his at the seminary was going on and on about the lack of value in PopTarts. He wasn't going to admit that he had a case of them in his dorm room.

Did you know that you can't buy brown sugar cinnamon Pop Tarts in Canada?!! We had them here when I was a kid but now I have to buy them in US.

I love apple cinnamon and cherry, with or without "frosting". Mom never bought pop tarts so I don't know who to blame it on...

I like both!! But I like strawberry frosted, and blueberry unfrosted. I also like the brown sugar ones! Frosted, of course. And they ALL have to be raw.

I totally agree.

My mother didn't buy Pop Tarts for us when we were kids. One more thing my sisters and I can discuss in therapy, I guess.

I buy the frosted ones for dd--she likes S'Mores and Vanilla Milkshake. At our house, we don't even pretend they have the redeeming quality of fruit.

Had them as a kid, not too crazy about them as an adult. When we do buy them we have to buy them without frosting because we're vegetarians (the frosting has gelatin in it).
