Everyone, I'm still waiting to hear from resiii as to whether the fridge has been found, or not. I did find out that the swapper before resiii was unable to pickup the fridge (due to an emergency). This greatly concerns me as this is the 2nd time in a month that the fridge has been unclaimed and as a result, has gone missing. I realize that an unforseen emergency can't be helped, so I'm not pointing any fingers here,
but if your situation changes (unable, or unwilling to pick up fridge)
while you are there, you really need to contact me and let me know ASAP so that I can let all parties concerned know what is happening. If you wait til you get back, or I hear it from the next swapper, it really compromises the fridge swap. When the pick up date has passed, it looks like POP relocates the fridge to unclaimed. This looks like it can happen in as little as 2 days, or so.
If you can't reach me by computer (and it's not the best way anyway) you can reach me by phone, or fax. Anyone who needs my phone and/or fax number needs to send me a PM. I can be reached by phone, from 11 a.m. to midnight, EST. The fax is available 24/7. (Please, no phone calls before 11 a.m., or after midnight-I don't want to p-off my DM! Thanks) I really want to make everyone's trip magical, so the faster we can clear up problems, the better for all.
This also points out that you really need to have all the information for the swapper before, and after you, with you. This includes full names, ressie numbers, check-in dates, and a phone contact (while at WDW if possible, and a home #) If you don't have this information with you, and something goes wrong, you won't be able to contact the swapper at POP, or at home if they've already left. You can leave a message for a swapper as long as you have their full name. (I've done this several times)
