Yep, i always take the first flight to wdw!! I love getting there early and having the whole first day to park hop. Sadly i don't have any trips booked to wdw for the first time in 6 or 7 years!!


I told a little white lie! Remember this huge rescue program i got into too???Well i was scheduled to go into on march 17, 7am-3pm. There are 2 classes one from 7-3 and the other 3pm to 11pm.I really wanted the 3-11 class, so i called the FDNY academy.I explained that i wanted the 3-11pm class and are told,the one your scheduled in is the one you have to go into.So i bent the truth a little. I told them that i was a single father and was raising a 6 y/o all by myself and needed the 3-11pm class,i told them i had no one to take ds to school in the am,but had someone to pick him up.The captains tune changed real quick.Ok, he says we'll pull some strings and get you into the 3-11pm class, he says i admire any guy who is doing the right thing for his son. So now i feel guilty,but i really needed the 3-11pm class and i know how this FDNY dept works,this was gonna be the only way to get the class hours i needed!! So am i bad guy and rotten liar??

You have to remember the FDNY only offers this program to thier guys once every 10 years or so,if i could not make this one it might have been another 10 years or so before i had another chance to get in.So offically as of march 15,I'm off the nyc streets and in the FDNY academy all over again.However this time i'm not the rookie in the fdny academy,thank god.They treat the rookies like dog poop!!This FDNY pregram runs from march 17 until nov 17.I know i am gonna miss the streets so much!!

What a glorious morning!!!!

Finally got some me time..

I went to Borders & looked at a gazillion travel books....

trying to plan: Florida trip (sans the happiest place on earth)
I think we're going to do the circle lake michigan or maybe lake superior trip this summer....so bought a book for that

then I bought a travel italy and travel france book...so I can dream

I came home....gathered a bunch of websites for Florida trip...dutifully sent them to the 2 other moms....& I got an email back to "Julie our cruise director"

I can't help it if I need to plan this stuff out!!!!!

off to read & catch up with you guys...& then to pick up dd...

Tink-I loved your card! I got it today. It was wicked cute!!! Thank you! Everything will be fine with the car! Want to hear my funniest accident story? It was a blizzard the day before Thanksgiving and I had just taken DD to the Dr. she had a cold or something I forget, but she wasn't feeling well so I took her to sick hour to get her checked out before the Dr.s would be off for the holiday... anyway, on the way home she was still crying like crazy, so I bent down into the passenger seat foot place to get an Ernie book, and I look up and the minivan in front of me was stopped on the highway. OOPS! So, everytime I see that Ernie book I get all pissy. It is still costing me a forturne in points on my license. Oh well, none of us were hurt, and all is well.

CAT- Yes, I agree with everything you said about Anna/Mother/Howard. We used to say that about Howard way back when she had the reality show. In fact, I went out that halloween as Anna Nicole... the chubby one of course!

YES!!! In 1989 the IROC was the bomb!!! My girlfriend's father's company gave him one as the company car, but it wasn't his sort of thing, so she drove it around... and WOW were we cool.... except when I had to ride in the back.. those speakers were KILLER. Hers was candy apple red, and we were two bleach blondes... enough said.

PJ- OMG!!!! What could/will they do if they find out? How far removed is this program in relation to your firehouse...like do any of those guys know any of your guys??? Good luck.

This morning I got up, and my DD's school cancellation wasn't on tv, nor on the net, so I took her... but the school was closed. She goes to a private Catholic school (just for P-K), so they must just follow that town's cancellation policy I guess. So, we came home had breakfast then took a nap. She is still sleeping! She must need it! The boy got me up though... he doesn't sleep for long.

MORNING AGAIN!!!! i just got AWESOME NEWS!!!

DH has mentioned to me that he offered to bring my father with us to WDW in May and my dad accepted!!!! i'm soo excited, since my dad and i get along so well!!!

Anyone ever work with Mod Podge before? i'm decoupaging some small gift boxes for some cell orders my mom put in for my aunt and I am getting high off the sent! hahaha!!

Oh, I forgot ... I like most cheap chocolate... not like the icky cheap but like the hershey type cheap. I don't like godiva. I don't like dark chocolate... other than that, load it up!

Well, the guys in the FDNY have always have a "brotherhood" as we call it.No one will rat me out and 1 of my guys from my fire house also got in too.I know they will never find out and if they do,i will just fess up. I mean if they find out that i'm not single,there is nothing they can do to me,anyway.I really needed to have this program at 3-11's. The fdny academy is one of two places. There is one on randalls island in the bronx and the other place is fort totten in queens,from what i heard and been told. We will bounce from the bronx and queens 1 week at a time.

Good news- we have a 3 room suite booked.

Afternoon all!!! i just had a rough go of it with 407wdisney! grrr


I called to make sure i had the Free ticket upgrade on my package b/c my wonderfully smelly plastic sleeve paper did not have that on there! sooo when i called they told me NO b/c it was a PIN code code...umm no it's public..back and forth we went forever..

I had to call THREE times b4 i finally got a CM that knew what they were doing!!

oh well at least it's there and i am sooo glad i called b/c the offer ends on the 18th!!
