POP'ers who have bonded - (new home!)

Hi gang,

Had i won big, i would have gotten you that dvc thing cat. Sadly i could not find a lucky slot machine all night. I guess thats why they call it gambling? I only lost $200, which is not that bad. Not to worry there is still a chance i might win. My birthday is december 15, i'm turning 18 ;) so dw is taking back there for the day on the 14th. Maybe i'll do better and i'll take us all to wdw on me.

So how are you guys doing?? It is so cold here, 36 tonight. I'm off untill sunday:banana:  . Anyone looking to take advantage of the buy 4 night and get 3 free?? We might look to go in june for it.:worship:

If i had not said it before NANU- CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey all!!!

PJ - I probably will not do the buy 4 get 3 free. I really want to take a non Disney vacation. I mean I want to go to Disney, but there are other places I want to go as well. But it is hard when they keep releasing these great deals!!!!

So... I am going to Colorado this weekend!!!!! Actually I fly out tomorrow morning. Lori's husband left so the timing is good. She needs a pick me up! Plus we get to go see New Kids again!!!!!!!!!! :dance3: ( ) HOTTY HOT HOT!!!!!!! So check out my blog if you get a chance. ;)

Morning, it's been hectic here! Can't believe what the holiday season does to shoppers!!

Just wanted to say hi
Chris, did you get the lanyards?

Have a great Thursday everyone! Autumn has a pre school interview today, what on earth do they interview?? hahha!! They are going to Interview Gabriel too (He's still too crazy I think) and they may start out at the same time then! woohoo!!

Bye!

Looks like no Disney for us in January! We've decided to spend 7 weeks in Mexico instead. We have too many mini trips that we want to do throughout the country that the time we had there was just not enough and my cousins wedding is there in May too, so we have to go into May and not just all of April, now we will be there for a huge party and have loads of fun! WOOT WOOT! The deals all look great, but it's time to break free from our vacation rut! heeh! We're heading to Frankenmuth for Thanksgiving too! :yay:

How old are they now Michelle? At the daycare we'd interview the kids, it was actually a state requirement. I think if the child is crawling up the walls or throwing bricks at us or something we'd have the chance then to say, "its not a good fit." Or we'd discover the 4 year old we'd assumed was potty trained is not and therefore cannot go in the preschool room.

2 and 3 for Autumn and Gabriel although in December and January going on 3 and 4.

It's 2 private schools that will evaluate and then let us know how to proceed. One school will take Gabriel if he passes and the other is only for Autumn since Gabriel is still too you there. If he gets into the one school they will probably both go there together, just to start out school together.

This is just for pre school since our Catholic school doesn't start until Kindergarten. Then the life of uniforms and weekly mass on fridays begins :)

We find out what the first school says either tomorrow or monday. Enrollment is in December, so they want us to be prepared since they fill up fast. argg...it's like the cabbage patch craze or something I have to be in line at like 5am! hahaha!

Hey Michelle - YES I got the lanyards.....thank you!!! I'm trying to manage a new photopass share for March...I thought if I organized it at least I know I'd get my pictures.....but the requests are crazy!!!!!

pj YES WE ARE! We switched our March stay from 7 nights at POP and 4 at AKL CL to 7 nights at AKL CL (3 free) and 4 at POP - of course Casey is po'd since she'll only be there 5 of the 7 nights - s*cks to be a band geek sometimes huh? - my trip ended up still being a few hundred dollars less and I still get the gift card too...& we ALL know I love a gift card. I do think that Disney is going to be a big part of the girls Christmas presents...they both want new digital cameras (well grace doesn't have one, but casey just has a basic, no zoom, cheapy one) so I think I'll do that, and the trip. My mom is going to give me and the girls our day at Discovery Cove (I'll have to buy the pic CD though)....so I think we're good. I really wanted to get myself the new Nikon D90 camera but don't think that's gonna happen....

I know Mike's job is secure, but geesh, just watching the news scares the holy crud out of me. I haven't worked a whole lot lately - & while that's a great thing for all the pregnant women of McHenry county, it means no paycheck money for me....

ok I'm done rambling

Wow it's been dead here!!!

Well it's official! We've cancelled our January trip. Saddening, just a bit because we added 2 weeks onto our Mexico trip! Just about 7 weeks now! Yay! We figure that should really give us the vibe as to wether or not we could handle living there :) We have been planning loads of side trips to visit other cities in the country to explore while we are there as well. It's been fun reading up about different towns. We will be staying in hotels while doing side trips and be staying in my moms house out there, unless her deal comes through with another home she is buying out there, we might be able to stay in the new one!!! I will be opening up Just Michelle out there too for teh small amount of time we are there! I'm really excited about that! Just a little boutique stall during the month long festival that goes on!!

Have a good weekend everyone!!

:music: oooo I added THE HUSTLE to my blog roll of music and well now when I hear it all I can think of is POP! haha! I love it! :music:

And we went to a Scrapbook store closing (Last day today) and I got some AMAZING display racks for great prices and some awesome goodies! Overall great weekend!

Hi all.

I had am amazing time in Colorado. I wish I was there still! Especially tonight. My girls are having an AMA party! :sad1:

Let's see, lots has been going on. I have decided to go back to school. So I will start that in January. I was hoping to go to WDW for the college program, but I just don't know how that would work. Terry leaves again this summer so my time is limited.

Michelle - That is great your hubby can take that kind of time off! WOW! 7 weeks is a looooong vacation. I hope you enjoy it and get the answers you are looking for regarding the move.

yeah it's a loooong time, right now he gets 4 and his boss can give him 5 as long as they find a good temp. We're trying to figure out the extra 2. If anything I will just go a week early with my mom and then stay a week later and Sal just does the middle part :)

I had a blast at the College Program! Did it twice! When I was 20, I believe my roommate was like 30 and I remember thinking that was ancient! heehee!! I'm still friends with 8 out of the 10 roommates I had and we have even been to each others weddings! 1 of my friends is still out there and he's so much fun to hear from all the time! Congrats on school! I miss it sometimes!

OH NO! Which Rockford store closed????? I'm sorry I missed it....

7 weeks is a long time...but you're right, should be enough time to give you an ideai f you could live there.

Casey is already positve she wants to do th CP, so I'm gonna have to live thru her......

Tia - that's cool....where are you gonna go? majoring in what? You & Ry can do homework together.lol!

Grace is off all week from school, Casey has school today & tomorrow...so today is jammie day! I'm doing nothing...we're playing Wii and goofing off all day!

I still feel pangs of guilt over my March trip....AKL is SOOO freaking expensive...& yea I'm getting 3 days free...but still....it's SOOO much money...I could stay at POP twice for the same amount of money! But it's my dream resort...i'm not a GF kinda gal....AKL CL is my dream...but i still feel guilty.....

have a great day every one!

Hi gang,
sorry i have not checked here in a while. I been a little busy, in the last week the FDNY lost 2 of our own. One young kid collapsed at the FDNY academy during training and died and then last saturday a FDNY lieutant passed away in a fire in staten island. He had 4 kids the oldest 15 the youngest 5, its just not fair just before the holidays. I've been running from wakes to funreals. I need a vacation. This sort of thing always happens right before the holidays, every single year. I wish it did'nt but it always seem to happen. It just gets to me knowing those 4 kids just lost thier dad.

Apperantly he was in the atic of a private house fire when the roof collpased on him and knocked his helmet and (scba)breathing mask off. They think it knocked him unresponsive and without the fresh air and instead smokey air, he died from lack of oxygen. What a mess. the whole family is not taking this thing too well, but then again who would? They are devastatied and unconsolable. Seeing those kids crying broke my heart and i had to leave the wake.

I was excitied last week to find that being the senior man has earned me thanksgiving, x-mas eve, x-mas and new years eve and new years day off, now it does not seem right. I'm gonna go to bed, just in case i can't check in, i hope everyone has a happy thnksgiving.

Wow how awful PJ, but good news about the days off!

Alright people i'm out tonite! Yay! Let's hope for no major snow storms tonite since we are driving

Chris, it's MemoriesInk on East State and Mulford. A tiny little family owned business. They've been closing for quite some time now (as in months) and they just finally got down to the real deals this past weekend!

Byeee!! I will have my computer with me of course, my husband isn't too thrilled, but I don't want to lose out on the Internationals that don't celebrate on Thursday!!

Terry leaves again this summer so my time is limited.

.

He is leaving for sure, then? Dammit. :headache:

Oh no - how sad. :guilty:

You have a good Thanksgiving too - all of you. :grouphug:

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful day surrounded by your favorite people! (well ok I guess I wasn't there, so it wasn't all your favorites)

Anyone going shopping tomorrow? I usually do...but can't think of a thing to go buy!

Yeah, we are 90% sure. Comes up on orders in June or July and will have to go to another state for training for about 3 months then off to Iraq for about 12 months. So not as long as last time which is nice.

 You are so cute Chris!
I am not going out. Maybe later to pick up some stuff to make our Christmas cards with, but we are scaling WAY back this year. I mean WAY back. I am kind of burned out on what Christmas has become. And honestly we don't need any more "things." Anyway... not trying to be a scrooge. :rotfl:

I hear ya Tia - I think the combination of the kids getting older makes a difference too..like there's no need to go get the $4 Barbie, or the latest PollyPocket thing....The girls are both getting digital cameras this year - Casey a really nice one so that's the bulk of her gift, Grace is still getting a good one but it's just cheaper. Casey's getting the camera, a charm bracelet with 3 charms (oboe, pom, & tiger paw (for the hs mascot), and 2 Wii games...that's it she's done. My parents are giving her Discovery Cove and a paid of Ugg's, Mike's sister is giving her an "adopt a Beluga" thing from the local aquarium and she is done done done. I will get her a few little stocking things.......Grace is a little harder...but still not much for her either, her camera, a couple of Wii or DS games, and an art set....that i slipped out to Michaels to buy last night at 60% off. Her stocking is easy...silly putty & Jasmine stuff!

I might head to B&BW today & see what they have....I do still need to get my parents something......no clue what, Mike is getting a digital pic frame for his desk..so he's done.

I'm trying to find things to do together instead of going nuts with gifts this year...

Chris - Are you guys still selling gift cards as a fund raiser? We are looking for Target and Coldstone.

Hello everyone!

T-giving was good. I was sick all day and night, but that's a good thing.

We didn't go out yesterday, none of the really crazy sales appealed to me, and the thought of waking up at 3:30 also didn't, but I did get a text from amazon that the gift for my mom was available so I signed on to the computer in the middle of the night and bought it.

Tia--I am the queen of practical giving. If its not consumable or a need, I don't give it. If I can't think of anything, then its a gift card taped to something practical (like socks or a box of tissues). I hate having junk we never use. I feel bad someone spent money on it. One of my favorite gifts are those zazzle stamps. They are on sale until tomorrow for 11.99 for a sheet of 20 photo stamps. Last year I bought my brother an outback gift card taped to these Vicks tissues. He mentioned to my mom how cool they were, so I bought him a box. He opens up the box of tissues and says, "Uh...thanks," trying not to sound disappointed at the $3 box of tissues. Then my cousin pointed out the Outback gift card taped to the bottom of the box. It was hilarious. So I'm pretty much done shopping, with the exception of DD who needs nothing! We'll probably get her 2 gifts, just don't know what. I'm sure she'll get plenty from the gparents.
