POP'ers who have bonded - (new home!)

As of right now i am on stand by at work. What that means is i am offically off sat,sun and monday but might have to go in. The city is making a big deal about this hurricane "hanna" that is supposed to hit here sometime late sat night. By then it will only be a tropical depression, but still everyone is on stand by.

Yikes! Hope it doesn't get too bad PJ!!

Anyone see this:
WRISTBAND DISTRIBUTION ENDING

SEPTEMBER 7, 2008

Disney is eliminating the wristbands which have been in use for Disney Resort guests wishing to take advantage of evening Extra Magic Hours. Disney Resort guests will need to use their Resort ID's as proof of eligibility starting September 7.

On designated days, a Walt Disney World theme park will be open an hour early and three hours later for Disney Resort guests only and includes guests staying at the Walt Disney World Swan/Dolphin Hotels and the Hilton in the Walt Disney World Resort

Does this mean that we are going to need to show our resort IDs at each and every ride we want to go on??? Hmmm....looks Like I need to make somethign up for the kiddies then. Can you believe they are already old enough to get park tickets?!?! Aughh!! Well except for Roman of course! hah!

Hey Tia! Yes, Monorail resort would be nice, but that leaves us with the Poly or the Grand and i'm not in a Grand sort of pocket book! heehee and I have never been a fan of the Poly...could this mean that Sal gets what he wants?!?? hahaaha!! We spend over 70% of our WDW time in Epcot, that's why we were thinking of the Boardwalk resorts. We love to walk and we are always in the WS, then there is boat transport to MGM and Epcot if we choose and of course we can hop the monorail in Epcot. It's just unfortunately as high as the other resorts anyway too...sooo now it's just a matter of what we want to spend! heehe!

The best part of booking a deluxe and then changing your mind at the last minute is the credit $$$ you have on your room! hahaha!

No car rental for us, we found that last time we drove, having a car there killed a lot of the vacation feel for us. We will have a car for our 2010 trip because we are doing the cruise as well and want to hit up some of the Space Center while we are down there, but if we were not, I wouldn't bother with it. We've gotten pretty good at the hold kids and fold stroller thing ;)
Well, the good news is, no matter where you stay at least you will be at WDW!!
I am the e4xact opposite of you. Standing in the bus lines and riding with sweaty, stinky, rude people takes away the vacation feel for me! :rotfl: I was telling Cat I am kind of a snob. Lori spoiled me last year by getting a car and now I am hooked!
A few Mexico shots :)

Here is the latest on my little ones:

ADORABLE!!!!!!!!!! And that resort looks amazing!

Good luck PJ! Although I hope you get to enjoy a weekend off! That would be very nice!

From what I understand you will have to show your key at every attraction. What I did last year was take ome plastic ID holders and decorated the outside with each person's name and then bound them together with a book ring. (little metal hoops that opens and closes). Then I put that in my bag and whenever we needed fastpasses or anything they were together! Pls it protected them from becoming demagnatized.

My Mom and Grandma are coming up today. Needless to say I have been cleaning like a mad woman! I kep a clean house but my Grandma is VERY particular so I thought it would make my life easier if the house was extra extra clean! ;)
I also got a free dining offer from Disney through the 11th of Oct for this year. I think it was $64 anight per person at a value . I wish Iwould have known sooner. I would have gone later because it would be near Ryan's fall break. Don't you think it is odd to put out a offer like that only a few weeks out? Oh well... I am just going to be thankful I get to go!

Right now we are booked at Yacht just for convenience sake.

Sal wants to stay a the Contemp and while I love the size of the rooms and it has been a long time since I've stayed there, i'm not thrilled with it.

We stayed at the CR when Casey was 4, & the monorail was really great to have...but for a resort, I hated it! Reminded me of being at the old Radisson in Schaumburg!

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to stay at Y&B some day..we spend tons of time at Epcot too..

So Autumn was perplexed, she literally told the waiter that it was no ones birthday and that cake is NO FOR US! !

ok, that is stinking adorable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning!
Terry discovered this great program that lets you take music you hve on your computer and turn them into ringers! So I spent quite a bit oftime Disney-fying my phone to have all kinds of crazy ringers. :) I was even able to get the wake up call from the resorts to put on there as my alarm in the morning! .

ooo SHARE please! I would love to do that! instead of paying $3 a pop for each ringer!!!!

A few Mexico shots :)

Michelle - they are so adorable! I can't believe how BIG they look! Gabriel doesn't even look little to me anymore! & Autumn looks like a young lady!!! Thank goodness Roman still looks like a baby!

We stayed in building #31, I .

I still think I'd like to try CBR sometime......It looks like a really neat place.

Does this mean that we are going to need to show our resort IDs at each and every ride we want to go on??? Hmmm....looks Like I need to make somethign up for the kiddies then. !

YIKES, I bet you're right...Let me know what you come up with...Casey's going to be on her own in March & is going to need something maybe other than the basic lanyard I think......

Hi gang,

I swear if it was not for my Brother in laws bad luck, he would have no luck at all. Even if he is a in-law, we get along great and i really would do anything for him. He came with us to wdw, he brought my niece(9 months old) . While there on our last day,His firend who let him park his car in thier driveway while he was gone. Well this guys little brother without permission took it out for a test drive and at 4 am wrecked it. The car is totaled. The family promised to pay any bills.

So today he goes to Kohls dept store and gets pick pocketied. Someone went into his pocket with out him feeling it and stole his wallet. There was no money it in, just credit cards, which he quickly reported stolen. The cops said this is the 10th pick pocket event in this store in under 7 days.

After doing the NYPD police report goes home to find his daughters room, living room and kitchen flooded with a ton of water. The lady that lives up stairs was not home and somehow her hot water line broke just under her kitchen sink. We have no idea how long it was leaking for, but it looked like hundreds of gallons of water. The water also found its way to the basement which was also flooded.

In the living room the water completely soaked a brand new 46 inch flat panel Hdtv, thank good it was not pluged in. Thier celing collapsed in the kitchen and the celing was hanging and sanging in the babys room, to the point where we had to get a broom handle and just knock it down. The rugs are under 2 months old and a lot of stuff is ruined. I feel so bad for him.

He just does not deserve this, he is a good guy. He works for the military branch of veterans affairs, he is the guy that gets our soliders artifical limbs if they lose a limb at war. He is also a 1993 iraq vet himself.

Is it possible to have all this horrible bad luck in under a week??

what an awful bunch of crud! Wow PJ, sounds like he can use a little pixie dust......to go! or a drink, or both.

hope he has some good luck soon.

Today is l-a-z-y day....We literally might not get out of our jammies...we had a huge party last night for a bunhc of Mike's customers from work...ok here's where I start to feel like a moron...these are the people that he makes millions of dollars in commerical loans to....they are all rich....stinkin rich....so they're talking about "oh we're going skiiing in switzerland over christmas, or we're going to rent a house in barbados next year...." & here's me.....uh...the girls & I are going to WDW...these are the kinds of people that do Disney ONCE, they pay for those private guide people, stay at GF for 2 weeks...UH...I love going to Disney, I really do...but I wonder sometimes what it would be like to wait a year and go somewhere every other year and go somewhere different? kwim?

Is it possible to have all this horrible bad luck in under a week??

PJ, that's awful!!! When ever bad stuff happens to me I wonder if its just a wakeup call for something.

Chris--You did go somewhere else...you went on your whirlwind NE trip with Hersheypark.

Actually, we'll probably be going to London this year. By this year, I mean sometime in the next 365 days. DH has been wanting to go. I need to price things. Airfare was $400 last time I went, so that's what I've been assuming, but it probably went up.

Ooo it's alot of fun there, have you been? My mother just got back from spending a month in Europe and it was her second time to London, she liked it alot too :)

More back ground on this pic. I Am terrified to fly, to the point where this is the only time i get panic attacks when flying. Still to go to wdw i deal with it.

This is the morning we arrived. While on the tarmac and awaitng to depart the pilot comes on and says " as soon as i can get engine #2 to restart we will be on our way". That is one detail i did not need to know. I mean Restart would imply that it was started and somehow died or stoped working. I looked at dw and made a face her and the woman sitting across from her both were hysterical laughing, i was not. She begged me to make the same face again while on the boat ride to the mk, so here it is.

Forgot the funny one for last.

We were shopping in one of the stores, my brother in law put on oven mits and an apron and walked around the store for a good 25 minutes like this. You had to be there, but it was really funny, he got some strange looks form shoppers and cast members and even one person thought he worked there. This is what is so cool about Disney, an adult can act like a kid and its ok.

Great pics PJ!!!! Looks like you had a wonderful time!!!

So.... I talked to Lori today and she had a medical emergency. She is ok now, but I was so worried about her. Just say a little prayer for her please.

And a prayer or two for us. Ryan had an accident tonight involving a tree and the ground. Turns out the goober broke FOUR bones in his foot. 2 weeks before our trip. :sad2: He is ok, just in a lot of pain. So I have to figure out how this is all going to work. I am assuming he will need a wheelchair as there is no way he can walk using crutches the whole time. It would be miserable for him.

Anyway, we just got back from the ER and now I have to figure out how to get him in the bath.

Tia--I was 10 at the time, but I distinctively remember my mom switching our vacation forward when my brother broke his arm. There was no penalty from anyone. But again, we are talking 18 years ago. Oops, I mean 19.

Yeah, I thought about that. But then we would not get free dining. And right now with the other stuff we have had to do lately, like buy a house :rotfl:, the budget might not allow for the extra $$ for the DP. Now if the pin code I got was for FD in December...I would be all over it. :rotfl:
Ohh no Tia and Lori, I hope everything works out for the better
It will be fine.... just stressful.

Pj, wonderful photos!!

Tia, I can imagine how stressful it can be. The good thing is that with a wheel chair, you will see the WORLD a bit differently than before. You will travel even slower than before :) We notice sooo much more pushin the stroller around in the parks than we did when it was just the 2 of us :)

Wait - is she okay??????

Oh no! Ryan!!! UGH! I think he was attempting to be pushed around in a wheel chair for the week. This sounds like a good idea. :rolleyes1

I hope he feels better. That stinks!!!!! :headache:

What about that pin code you got in the mail? Maybe you could call and ask them?

YES! It will be nice to go a bit slower. Good way of looking at things.

She is fine. She burned her eye. She has contact cleaning solution and when she went to put her contact in she grabbed that bottle and filled her contact with it and put her contact in. well.... that solution is REALLY bad an not meant to be put directly in the eye. She is going back to the doc today. Her eye hurts really bad and she is having a hard time sleeping. Poor thing.

He is in a lot of pain. I e-mailed Donna. If the trip could be switched I would consider it. But the other thing is the cost to change the plane tickets. :scared1:
